Mission Impossible: impossible
First off, I am a movie buff. If you are, you know that entertaining is not enough, an excellent movie has got to have a great script and characters first. This is where Mission Impossible fails. The story is impossible in its essence. If you have watched the original series in the 60s, you will know what I mean. The character of Ethan played by Tom Cruise is bigger than what he was in the series, which is alright but when it turns out that he is the only guy not corrupted in the Impossible Mission Force, then, I lose my hard-on if you pardon my French. One wonders why the screenwriter had to come up with a synopsis like that, just as impossible as if Commissioner Gordon would have turned out to be a corrupted cop in the first Batman movie. Know what I mean? And the Landau character played ... First off, I am a movie buff. Still a must have in a collection.

Mission Impossible Special Collector's Edition is ABOVE EXCELLENT!!!!
I'm so happy to FINALLY own this Special Collector's Edition DVD of Mission Impossible. I first saw this movie at the theater in the summer of '96 with one of my closest friends, who was always a huge Mission Impossible aficionado (she had watched several episodes of the original TV series as a child). The storyline/plot of this excellent film is a riveting mystery-Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt will stop at nothing to find out who killed the members of his Impossible Missions team (I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the climactic scene as to 'whodunnit?' is SHOCKING-someone you would NEVER suspect!!). To this day, when I watch this spy adventure/thriller, I'm ALWAYS on the edge of my seat!! As for the DVD picture quality, it is VERY crisp and clear when played on my excellent LG(Life's ... I'm so happy to FINALLY own this Special Collector's Edition DVD of Mission Impossible. So buy a copy of Mission Impossible Special Collector's Edition DVD; you won't be disappointed!!

Just what the title implies!
I have always enjoyed this movie and wanted to have a hard copy of it to help complete my collection of Cruise's MI movie series.

Mission Impossible: The first installment of the series
I remember going to see "Mission: Impossible" in 1996. Thought the movie was excellent. Wasn't too thrilled to see the Jim Phelps character as the bad guy but I thought the movie was great.

Sure it's not the T.V. series, but if you enjoy plots that put your wit to test, then Mission Impossible I is the right movie for you.
