  • Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio - SB0790

If you are looking to improve the sound qualities of your current PC based on-board sound capabilities this is the way to go. I needed something to enhance the the playback of my many MP3 files that I have. I have a Bose Sound system and just didn't think is was being used to it's maximum potential. I purchased a full height PCI version of this card, well I have a SFF PC that uses 1/2 height cards. After a little fabricating with a dremel tool the effort was worth the extra time it took to make the bracket. Installation was a snap and just down loaded the current drivers from the Creative site and Voila...... now that's what Bose speakers are supposed to sound like. This was the final piece of hardware I needed to turn my $40.00 Dell GX260 yard sale purchase PC into a Media Center ...

  • Great card IF you got SURROUND SPEAKERS with it

Great Card for windows xp 64 bit. Gaming in surround sound at a whole new level of clarity. Good LARGE speakers with receiver make this card really show itself off. Playing game I find myself ducking in my chair from hearing noises from behind me and above me. Great Positional Audio quality if you know how to set it up. If you get this card be sure to get a quality surround system. A Logitech SURROUND sound kit would be a good starter system to go with it. Anything less would be a waste of this card. I crank my card full blast with four 15" speakers 4x8" Center and heavy hitting SubWoofer. GAME ON !!!

  • As beautiful as a real piece of art.

Sound cards like this are exactly what a gamer needs; the pulsating sound of this card will blow you out of your seat. Games, movies and music are EXACTLY what they should be with this incredible card. Kudos to Creative Labs for standing by the PC world for so long. If art was a sound card, this card would be that art.

  • Win 7 64 Bit Compliant, nice, and inexpensive sound card!

I have an "old (3yo)" DFI motherboard, which has audio integrated, and is equipped with 8GB RAM and an Intel Quad Core on it. It performs excellent yet, so, I did not think on replacing it. The problem begun when I upgraded my 32bit windows 7 software for the 64bit version. For my surprise, I did not find a sound driver that worked with the motherboard integrated audio. I did an extensive research in DFI and realtek, and none of the option drivers worked. Then I gave up, and searched on the Windows Compatibility list the cards that are compatible with this 64bit Windows version, and... When I installed the card, after a few minutes resetting the PC, it worked, all by itself, flawlessly. Then I installed the optional SW from creative. Recommended to everyone.

  • "Amazing Sound. The best soundcard ever!!!"

Words can't describe the clairity, cripsness and precision of the sound this card produces. The 24-bit crystallizer is in a word MIND-BLOWING. If you buy an X-Fi Soundcard, even if it is the most basic one, you will be blown away. I van hear elements of my music that I have never heard before, even on a Bose Sound System. God Himself must have an X-Fi Sound Card in his computer... it's jsut that heavenly.
