Product Information

This staple of 1970s Saturday morning television originally aired from 1974-1977. The series has subsequently achieved cult status, largely due to a strong word-of-mouth campaign, its stop-motion animation, endearing special effects, and the quality of its writing. The show followed the adventures of Ranger Rick Marshall and his two children, Will and Holly, whose canoeing trip takes an unexpected turn when they accidentally tumble over a waterfall and enter the Land of the Lost. This is an alternate, ancient realm peopled by the peaceful, Neanderthal-esque Pakuni tribe, as well as the evil lizard creatures known as the Sleestaks, which only come out at night and are afraid of fire. The family also encounters a number of dinosaurs both friendly and otherwise, the Abominable Snowman, and even Medusa. This set contains the entire third season, which features the arrival of Uncle Jack, and some of the most exciting expeditions yet.

The rare & strange LOTL 3rd season = wacky fun!
Not quite as logical but surely less predictable, this was oddly entertaining back when I was a kid, and still weird fun to watch again. I can't really sit through more than 3 or 4 episodes at a time, but Richard Kiel (Jaws from the James Bond Movies) as a Kromagnon caveman recurring throughout the 13 episodes is a treat as well. Uncle Jack replacing Rick Marshall after the big earthquake that shook the Marshall's adopted land wasn't as bad as I remember...he's a better actor than his predecesor and seems more believable as an action lead. The stories and situations became a bit more dark as well as more far-fetched (even for Kroft productions), as the Land of the Lost became even more dangerous & unkown than before. Holly was geeting a bit old for pigtails, and Will's pancake, eyeliner & ... Yes I gave Land of the Lost season 3 - 5 stars
The fans of Land of the Lost would tell you that the third season was the worst written season. Yes,the show LOST it's original love of the storyline and the show LOST their father. However, the show was still ahead of their time (70s Saturday morning shows never came close to LOTL ) and did have some moments that some would enjoy. I true fan of the show would still want to have the final season to complete their collection.The fans of Land of the Lost would tell you that the third season was the worst written season. However, the show was still ahead of their time (70s Saturday morning shows never came close to LOTL ) and did have some moments that some would enjoy. Land of the Loast DVD
Recvd DVD's, in perfect condition, and great picture quality. We decided to buy this series because we were reminiscing about the good old fashioned shows we saw as kids, and wanted to watch it again, and laugh about when we were younger. It was a great investment!

LOTL 3rd Season
Good memories of my childhood. Wow, there was some cheesy stuff that 3rd season. To bad they didn't have an ending to the series. It just stopped. I'm glad I bought it.

Land of the Lost - The Complete Third Season
This is a must have to complete the set for those die hard Land Of The Lost fans like myself. What some people consider silly and outdated to me is a breath of fresh air when I consider the garbage they have on for kids today.
