HTC Wildfire S for business use
I wanted a small pocket size.smartphone for use at work that was a reasonable price. I considrered Samsung, LG and HTC Android phones. I chose to go with HTC for build quality and speed based on other reviews and it has lived up to these. As with any Smartphone, battery life is alwaysa challenge even with moderate phone call and internet use, so I bought a 2300mah battery from eCell with a greater capacity and now it comfortably lasts all day. Phone memory is limited, not unusual for the price so I have moved all apps that I can onto SD card. Still could do with a bit more memory but I'm happy to wait for app upgrades so more can be moved to SD. Performance, call quality is very good and the HTC Android interface I.find very easy to use. Small smartphone for the small pocket user
The Wildfire S is a great little smartphone. Its smaller than an iphone so for people who want all the features of smart phone, but don't use them that often to want to lug around a bigger phone its great. The size does mean that the battery life is impacted by this. It will happily last several days without much use.. although once you start playing around with the battery level drops quickly - which is fair enough. The sound quality is not bad for call although a bit quite sometimes. The camera is not bad although quite slow to take pictures. The android system is wonderful with plenty of room to customise it and free apps.The Wildfire S is a great little smartphone. Great value for money, would recommend to anyone. A+!
Very good phone, with plenty of great apps available. Whilst the many features are very good, the calling part of the phone is a little temperamental. Making calls is easy enough but trying to answer calls can be difficult and lead you to miss calls very easily. The battery life on the phone is fairly limited, needing to be re-charged everyday in my experience. However, I think the available features outweigh this and it is a very good product. Great value for money overall and I would recommend it to others. I would also be more than happy to purchase another HTC product in the future.Very good phone, with plenty of great apps available. If you use camera & music a lot, this is NOT the phone for U.ring too quiet
Ive been using the wildfire S for about 4 weeks now. Before i had Nokia 5800 exp music which was a great phone (stolen). then a ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco - gingerbread 2.3). The wildfire S overall is very good, touch screen is responsive, many features, but there are a few major annoyances. 1. Ring Volume is too low - i cant hear it over traffic noise when im outside near busy roads (i live in a big city so that is always). 2. Camera really sucks. The camera doesn't have its own 'shoot' button, only a touch-screen button, the android screen button. so i cant take my own photo as i miss the screen button every time with screen pointing away from me - lens pointing towards me. also it is slow to take pics with the auto focus, and the colour tone is not great - very red. 3. power switch ... Contacts storage is terrible. not sure if this is android or HTC design, but i cant easily find contacts. i have to search every time. the Nokia was so simple to use. 5. speaker sound quality is not as good as the nokia by a long way. and too quiet. i travel a lot and use the speaker sound for music in hotels. 6. USB tethering is hit and miss, sometimes it works sometimes it wont. i end up using the portable wi-fi hot spot function which is slower and uses more battery. 7. Cant see the screen at all outside in sunlight. all in all, im selling it and trying the Samsung Galaxy S2. i hope the ring vol will be louder and address book & camera will be easier to use. if not its back to the Nokia! if you use the camera and music a lot as i do, this is not the phone for you. also if you are in noisy environments often (clubs / near roads etc) you wont hear it ring.

Big bang for buck feature laden stylish phone
This isn't a review per-se as I have never owned a smartphone before, so this is essentially my opinion of it. This is a very contemporary stylish phone with plenty of features for any average type user as a regular phone, email, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a host of other features. It may not be top of the line or the best of it's type, but that wasn't a consideration when I was looking to replace my elderly Nokia phone, but it's a well made solidly built unit with an excellent screen with an easy to use control set. I bought a generic black double S phone rubber/semi-rigid cover for it which fits perfectly and both enhances the phones appearance whilst offering general protection from knock and bumps. The cut-outs for mains charger and USB connections are perfect. I'm very happy with my ...
