This book is excellent for all wives. It is written for the woman who wants to be the type of wife God made her to be. I took a class entitled The Excellent Wife and this was our reference book. Our teacher said when the 6 weeks class was over that we should now live our lives as wives as it was intended and it has made such a difference in my marriage. I am happy and more importantly my husband is very happy; in my opinion he has become the excellent husband because of how I have changed and I love me more and because of that I love him more and it's obvious. He loves telling people about his "excellent" and my husband is not yet a christian. I have purchase 5 more copies of this book so far to give as wedding shower gifts. The response to this gift has been joy and ... This book is excellent for all wives. It is written for the woman who wants to be the type of wife God made her to be. A must read!
Very helpful in teaching a younger women or a mature one what God's design is for a wife. This book was suggested by my sister, she has been married for 30 years. I got so much out of it so I purchased another for a friend.

Biblical, Practical, albeit wordy, book on being a Godly Wife
I bought this book for a Women's Bible Study at our church. I like the fresh perspectives on the call to Biblical Womanhood that Martha Peace brings, such as how our own sin (idols) impact our marriage relationship and our relationship with God, and how to take practical steps to make marriage more godly and fulfilling. I found it helpful that she differentiates between being a good wife and being a godly wife! The book is written for the wife in an encouraqing, yet challenging tone, and although Martha is a bit long-winded in places, I think she does a nice job of presenting tough material like women working outside the home and being married to a non-Christian in a well-balanced, Biblical way.I bought this book for a Women's Bible Study at our church. The title makes you want to excell at being the wife God would want you be.
It seems like it will be a very good book to put into action. However I am not done the book yet so hard to write exactly what is best about it.
