MUST SEE
I decided to buy this movie after watching it on television. Kimberly Williams-Paisley does an excellent job playing the role of Amy, a young woman who lost her mother when she was a young child. Before her death she drew out a timeline of what Amy's life would be like. Amy takes this timeline very seriously and has followed it to the letter thus far. Her dilemna arises when she meets the guy (Daniel) she thinks is her 'mister right' but he is her 6th boyfriend and according to her mother's timeline 'mister right' will be boyfriend number seven. Her solution is to squeeze in someone else to call number six(enter Patrick Dempsey as Peter)before she officially becomes Daniel's girlfriend, which would then make him number seven. Predictably, she falls for Peter but can't seem to get past the ... I decided to buy this movie after watching it on television. The chemistry is very good between Dempsey and Williams-Paisley and you find yourself rooting for him eventhough Daniel is also quite likeable. There is a good balance of comedy and heartfelt moments and it really kept my attention. It really shows how life can be great even if it doesn't always go thye way we have things planned. I also was impressed with the fact that the romantic scenes were tastefully done (no skin)and I don't recall any offensive language either so it makes a nice movie for the entire family to see. I will definitely watch this one over and over. Hope this helps.

Dempsey turns on his charm as usual like in Loverboy and Can't buy me love but this time it's not as a young teen. He's all grown up and owns a bagel shop in this one. He charms a young lady that is fixated that her 7th boyfriend will be the one she'll marry because she's following her mother's stupid time line. She quickly hooks up with Dempsey making him # 6 because she met # 7 already and she feels he's the right one. Well she realizes that he was # 7 in the end and was more compatible for her then the other rich snob so happy ending for everyone on this one. My wife is addicted to this movie ! She'd rate it 5 stars or Excellent but i am a hard critic and give it 4 stars. Added a movie to my collection quickly with Ebay
This is a good movie if you like a feel good romance with a happy ending. The acting is good and the movie moves along at a good pace. It is a typical romance where the girl has to chose between two guys, both of which have different outlooks on life. One is laid back, the other career oriented. Of course it has a happy ending. I think Patrick Dempsey is great actor and I enjoyed him in this movie.This is a good movie if you like a feel good romance with a happy ending. Well, I'm definitely a chick flick fan. I have seen this movie 3 or 4 times. It is a movie worth watching. I'm a big fan of Patrick Dempsey's. I also love to watch him in Grey's Anatomy. He plays a very funny, lovable and sensitive character in this movie. He is looking for the one thing that we all look for and that is LOVE! The movie is not boring and to long. It's just perfect. They picked the best one to play his love interest in the movie. Kimberly is a great actress. They both had great chemistry with each other. This is a movie that I highly recommend!!
