Very Happy
I read all the reviews on this HU before I made my purchase. The only reason it does not get a 5 is because of the glare issue in sunlight. I adjusted how color is displayed and that helped tremendously. But as far as functionality and sound you can't beat it. It has so many features it took me 3 weeks to get a handle on all the things this deck can do. I was able to change the color scheme to match my car EXACTLY! It looks like an OEM unit. The Bluetooth feature I use more than I thought I would. Calls are clear and people say they can hear me just fine. I used the LOW outs and tied it in with my factory amp and it just crushes how the stock HU sounded. It seems I have a sub and everything is so clear. This head unit was purchased as a gift for someone building a show competition sound system in their Scion XA. After installing the unit which was as simple as any other head unit, I was pleasantly surprised to find how user friendly it was. With it's advanced technology I was expecting it to be much more difficult to program and make use of it's many features. Instead, within a very short period of time the system was functioning perfectly. It even had features and controls I didn't realize it had. Coupled with a Cadence amplifier for the 12 inch sub woofers, the 50 plus watts per channel on the remaining speakers is more than sufficient to make all the mids and highs come through clear as a bell. The owner loves the unit so much they now go for rides just to hear the radio at anytime day ... The color changing display not only has some of the most beautiful colors anyone could want but has a feature where you can produce your own custom mixed color to suite any interior scheme. Playing music through an IPOD is as simple as any plug and play could be. The aesthetics of the unit itself are unmatched. Which was a main concern of the vehicle owner who was very reluctant to give up the upgraded optional factory unit. It blends with the dashboard and interior so well it looks like the car came with it factory installed. The seemingly endless adjustments for sound quality are second to none with the equalizer easy to access and use when you need a quick change for that song with a certain sound you just have to hear. I would buy this unit for anyone including myself without a second thought. I did compare many units with this one before making the purchase and with the security of buying through Ebay and knowing it would be backed buy the Buyer Protection Plan I knew if it didn't live up to it's claims, it could be returned. Now after listening to it for the past month, not only would I never return it but am ready to buy more of the same unit for all the vehicles I work on. As an installer, it's ease of installation and adjustability was a definite relief. As a consumer it has all the features one could possibly ask for. All I can say is, THANK YOU KENWOOD

Full featured!!
I installed this head unit in a 1998 Ford Explorer. It was really easy to set up, the menus are easy to navigate, although some options are not clearly understandable and the owners manual is not very detailed. After taking some time to explore the settings and making changes to my listening taste, this is a very good head unit. The iPod/iPhone integration works great (no special cable needed either!!) and the BlueTooth calling feature works excellent as well!! Call quality is very good and it even shows your phone signal strength and battery level on the display! With the customizable colors, and all the other features that you get, I don't think you'll find a better unit at this price!I installed this head unit in a 1998 Ford Explorer. This is one of the best head units I have ever had in my car. Kenwood makes really great stuff, and I have been using Kenwood systems for the car for a couple years now. My husband had bought a top of the line Alpine, and he said that this system beat the Alpine hands down. It's alot easier to work, it's not confusing at all to figure out.. What's really neat is it has Bluetooth. I use my phone to connect to it and it plays exceptionally well. No more Aux wires for me. One click on your phone and you have music streaming through this. It also takes calls pretty well too..but my husband said whenever he calls me he can hear an echo..turning down the setting in the bluetooth menu didn't seem to help but I have my phone on my dash..and the mic all the way on the ceiling near the door..could ... It really is a great stereo, you won't go wrong buying this if you like additional features at a cheap price (on ebay at least)
