Lily (Alyssa Milano) is a young woman from the Midwest who leaves behind her sheltered life and travels to California to study art. Lily quickly discovers that one of her professors, Donald Falk (Xander R. Berkeley), has taken a decidedly non-academic interest in her. Later, when Lily moves into an apartment with a group of fellow students, she finds that one of her new flatmates, art-school playboy Gredin (Johnathon Schaech), has amorous designs on her. While looking through a closet, Lily finds a diary from Ivy, a teenage temptress with a dangerous talent for wrapping men around her finger. As little girls, Violet and Ivy were traumatized when they were forcibly taken away from the Greer home and their best friend Joy -- after their housekeeper mother was discovered in an affair with the head of the household, Ivan Greer (Michael Des Barres). Now it's eleven years later and the widower Ivan, his grown-up daughter Joy (Trishalee Hardy) and new housekeeper Mrs. B (Susan Tyrrell) welcome the gorgeous, post-adolescent Violet back with open arms. Just like her sister, however, Violet is a scheming tramp and home-wrecker. She quickly shares cocaine and sleeps with Joy's sexually frustrated boyfriend Michael (Greg Vaughan) and seduces Ivan with a topless dip in the pool. quite good mysteries with some unexpected twists and turns.
I only marked it as not a good value due to the fact that the movies are in the old TV 4:3 format. They should all be Widescreen, which is what I assumed when I bought it. The movies are quite good mysteries with some unexpected twists and turns.

I first watched Poison Ivy in December '93 when I was at a hotel in Austin and I saw Drew Barrymorry nothing like she was in E.T. She had her best clips towards the end when she crashed a car and then when she had her last encounter w/the girl. The other episodes were also filled w/suspense in different angles. She came in different versions and she was so seductive and destructive in both of them. I got this cause 2 of my favorite ladies are in it- Drew and Alissa. Now, the blonde from part 3 [from My Name Is Earl] is on my faves, too:P. Part 1's the best thogh. I got alittle boared with part 2, and saw it in 2 sessions. I viewed Alissa as more of a victim, in that [2nd] one. Maybe that's why I liked it the least lol. The actresses were great in all of them [and very easy on the eyes]. This was money very well spent:D.
