Lots of informative information and a pleasure to read
This book is a very informative book with lots of interesting information. It seems as if the authors watched every show and made note of ever instance that might be interesting to fans of the Andy Griffith Show. This is not a companion book, in that it does not recap every show, but more of a general information book that discusses the various characters that made appearances on the show and other general trivia. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the show.This book is a very informative book with lots of interesting information. A book with a lot of good pictures from the show.
The book was shipped on time and in good condition. So this review is about the book content. There are some great pictures in the book from the show and publicity shots. The book takes each character and gives a synopsis of them. It has a lot of trivia quizzes and such. It doesn't give behind the scenes info and I can't tell if the info in the synopsis is real or something they made up. I was not really thrilled with the book although there are some good pictures, as I said.The book was shipped on time and in good condition. So this review is about the book content. I live and work in the town where Andy Griffith grew up. This is also the town that he patterned his fictitious town of Mayberry from. I work in the tourist industry and I am interested in learning all that I can about the characters of the show and how they came into being, how many eqisodes that each appeared, etc. For example, the lady who played Thelma Lou has moved to our town and is enjoying her retirement here.
