À propos de ce produit

Product Information

The most famously successful, enthusiastically coiffured promoter in all of pugilism lends his half-century of experience, wisdom, and name recognition to Prizefighter, a hardcore boxing game with a role-playing sideline designed to demonstrate the dedication and diligence demanded of heavyweight champ hopefuls, even outside of the squared circle and away from the gym. In the role of their own custom up-and-comer, players must make decisions to balance the boxer's conflicting needs.

It takes training to stay sharp, but time spent at promotion may lead to bigger matches, and all work with no play can be bad for a man's mental health. Story development occurs through documentary-style updates and cut-scenes. The game aims to present, in the words of its presenter himself, "a glimpse at what life is like in and out of the ring for these incredible athletes." Don King Presents: Prizefighter is by Take 2's Venom Games studio, which also developed the 2004 boxing game Rocky Legends and whose founders worked on 2002's Rocky.

I ordered this game and it shipped out fast but unfortunately it never arrived. Assuming it got lost by Canada Post. I contacted the seller after due date had gone past to let them know it never arrived. They were very quick to reply and issue a full refund. I would recommend this seller and would buy from again.

  • Not quite a knockout, but close

Prizefighter is 2K's answer to the Fight Night series. They had a good opening -- while EA Canada took three and a half years to overhaul the game engine for Round 4, there was a bit of a dearth in terms of good new boxing titles. Prizefighter takes a couple steps in the right direction, but it never gets all that close to the kind of experience boxing fans experienced in the Fight Night series. The good: Prizefighter introduces a host of new fighters (current and legends)and gets them involved in the storyline like never before. This is done through the intriguing career mode, which plays out like a documentary. Real fighters, Don King, and a host of actors play out the melodrama that is the life of a boxing prospect/star. The training games are more nuanced than what FNR 3 offered, as ...

  • Flash back game at a very reasonable price!!!

Has been a great blast from the past for us to play and even the original copy we used had a glitch, this one freezes in several repeat places. It does not keep me from playing it and becoming Heavy Weight Champion of the world... lol.... Thanks for fun...

  • Its no Fight Night, but a nice alternative.

The storyline is really what makes this game a lot of fun. You watch your boxer go from rags to riches and really involves you in the progression of the game. I also like the fact that they tie in some old school fights from the past and actually put you into the action. Much better storyline progression when comparing to fight nights same repetitive select your next fight, train, fight and repeat. The training sessions are way more in depth than fight night and even though are repetitive over time, they are challenging enough to keep you wanting to get better at them. I am not a huge fan of the button mashing style controls, but its not a huge enough issue to keep this game from being playable. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for some boxing variety or a break from Fight ...

  • Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Xbox 360)

Game has good graphics for a fighting game and the game play is average for a sports game (boxing). storyline is great though, you build a fighter overtime and make choices about his life live in the limelight or train harder? your choice in prizefighter.

  • Don King's Prizefighter

Well Don King's Prizenight wouldn't be that bad if there was a use for the right joystick like in FN3.I'm a boxing fan from way back and the cut clips are great in career mode. The button controls are a bit slow to respond, but this should last until the next FN or UFC game comes out. Maybe they should put a mode in it where Don King take all your money when you loose a few fights that would make the game a bit more realistic. All in all this is a game maybe you should rent first to see if it's your favor. I Liked it..... Not a waste of money for boxing fans...... I give it a 7 out 10.....
