  • Addictive

Addictive! The graphics are spot on for a PS2 game and the game play is pretty good. Like all games there is a learning curve about what buttons do sometimes and some of the items like keeping the customer happy seemed vague at first. As long as you keep up with the "mission" section in the top menu everything else starts falling into place. First level I could not figure out how to advance and turned out I had forgotten to do the mission challenges. Those have to be fairly complete in order to advance to better rides, games and food stalls and the next park level. The only con in the game for me is building the actual roller coaster. Build them FIRST - otherwise everything else you build or install will have to be moved or SOLD. And while in the middle of building the coaster/race ...

  • Thrillville - Master of "carnivals"

This game had jumped out at the game players of my household, the first time we saw it advertised during the holidya shopping season. Wow, what a cool game. It flew off the shelves, and we couldn't find it. After renting the game, and getting to the core of the ride maker, we decided to buy it. We like the mini games, and arcade mode of the game, so when you can't play the simulation, you can challange other players to mini games and races. While the game play is fun, it can be bogged down by conversation and challanges. This "feature" is rather boring, and find that the information from "visitors" of the park are hardly useful. The building of rides are easy and fun, but watch out for power use!

  • Thrillville

This is a game that we purchased for our 5 year-old daughter. It is very easy for her to figure out what needs to be done to play this game. The graphics are very good and the quality of game play is good also. It helps her learn some strategy as well as being plain and simple fun. The object of the game is to build a theme park and make money. Some of the mini-games are harder to play than others, but then what would the challenge be if you were able to play this game and finish it in an hour. It does have a pretty good replay value to my daughter.

  • Awesome Simulation Game!!!

Thrillville is a great game to play. As the park manager you can do it all. You are in charge of building rides, and then you can ride on them too. You also can just walk around the park and talk to people. It does give you the ability to "flirt" with people as well, but these lines are all just pretty cheesy pick up lines. Managing the park finances is great and you can earn extra cash by completing goals in the park, and playing the games. My 11 year old son enjoys the game, and as his non-coordinated mom, it is a video game that I can play as well. He offers to help me make it through the race games, or just laughs loudly as I fail to complete the course as quickly as the computer opponents.

  • Not horrible, but not great either.

The game is ok. The tasks aren't that difficult, mini-games enjoyable. Some of the controls are a bit strange, but once you get use to them it isn't a problem. I've only played a few hours but it is clear the game can be completed in a matter of a few days. The graphics aren't great, old game / lower quality graphics played on a newer HD TV, kinda hard to see. Getting to ride the rides, mostly pointless, not to mention if you a sensitive to motion or flashing lights the game may cause you to get sick. This is the kind of game one would play if they were bored and needed something to do but they didn't want to have to work too hard at a game. You can slightly customize your avatar, options are limited. The worst part of the game is having to talk to park guests, you've got an entire list of ...
