À propos de ce produit

Product Information

DC Comics shocked Superman fans when it killed the beloved character in 1992. This full-length animated movie brings the thrilling story of the Man of Steel's death to the screen, with Adam Baldwin as the voice of Superman and Anne Heche as the voice of Lois Lane. The battle begins when Lexcorp unwittingly digs up a crashed spaceship harboring an unstoppable killer. What will become of Earth when its most powerful protector falls to the wayside?

  • BIG!! DISAPOINTMENT!! SHAME ON DC COMICS!!!

To all buyers that loved the death of superman series, reign of supermen, this animated version of the death of superman is NOTHING like the comic book series, its a VERY !!!!VERY!!! BIG disapointment!!!!!! the storyline is competely ruined, it is nothing like it has been advertised, this DVD is nothing but a big hype, its a solo storyline, OH yeah it shows doomsday and superman fight and him die but thats about all , the storyline is complpetely changed, its the same old storyline with super man and lex luthor just like the animated tv series, no other heroes fighting doomsday, and doomsday is in it for only about 10 mins and you never see him again, this DVD is really made for kids, the comic book version(storyline) puts this dvd movie to shame, there is no cyborg superman , no ...

  • Disaster

You know, I've been waiting for this movie since I saw it advertised. Yes, I think that the epic comic book story was fantastic. About 2 minutes into the movie, I realized that it was not going to be like the comic book at all. sigh Ok, I thought.... I'll just watch it for the movie that it is, and try not to compare it to the comic book at all. It was difficult, but, I did. I was able to seperate the movie from the comic book story. So, what does that mean? This movie was boring. Yes, it's got a great fight... but, it's long...uninteresting... and just a horrible time watching it. Even the fighting isn't fun. It is just vicious, and nothing much to attract you. Once Superman and Doomsday are finished dancing, it slows down to a crawl. The story line could have been better... I mean ...

  • When Superman dies...,

The first in a line of straight to DVD animated features adapted from classic DC stories, Superman: Doomsday re-tells the much maligned Death of Superman saga from the early 90's in animated form, and despite what many of the negative reviews here say otherwise, it works. The Man of Steel (voiced by Serenity's Adam Baldwin) is in love with Lois Lane (voiced quite stiffly by Anne Heche) and both are enjoying their relationship, until his world is rocked by the arrival of the murderous creature Doomsday, who is inadvertantly let loose by Lex Luthor (Buffy the Vampire Slayer's James "Spike" Marsters). If you've read the comics, you know what happens next, but the animated feature wisely ignores the Reign of the Supermen part of the arc, in place of an imposter created by Luthor, which results ...

  • Not like comic, but, excellent movie.

I loved the movie & his coming back from the "dead" was explained much better than the comics. It made more sense. In other words, he didn't really die, but, was in a "death-like" coma. In the comics, he died, but, was resurrected to life. Sorry, but, only God & Christ can resurrect the dead! So, the movie makes more sense. And, all of you people who are disappointed because the movie was NOT like the comics, better not watch the "Smallville" series on TV. THAT is the BIGGEST load of crap to be put on TV!! It does NOT come even CLOSE to what the comics say. According to THAT stupid show, EVERYONE Clark Kent(Superman) has known in his life has come to Smallville. WRONG!! WRONG!! & should I say it:WRONG!! NO WAY has ALL of these people been to Smallville in the comic version. The writers are ...

  • Superman Doomsday (DVD, 2007)

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Great take on the comic story of Superman vs. Doomsday (although I still prefer the comic story version). Lots of action. If you are planning to show this to kids make sure they can handle seeing Superman taking some graphic hits from Doomsday. Doomsday also has other semi-graphic action scenes (although brief and sometimes indirect). Also, Superman and Lois are ever-so-slightly intimate at his Fortress. Voice actors I think do a good job, too.
