Officially the Worst Sequel Ever
It's official (and yes, I beleive I am authorized to make that call) that Hollywood has finally outdone themselves. Forget the Rocky's, Rambo's and Nightmare on Elm Streets. The makers of this film managed to take a truly good, fun movie, and take away everything that made it good and fun. Gone are the funny quirky characters, lively dialogue, and good special effects. I am going to skip description of the plot and storyline, because basically this movie has none. I will got right into what makes this monster movie a monstrosity. Considering it seems that whole scenes and even dialogue are either ripped from outtakes of the first or written by Mrs. Heskelberg's 5th grade class, Lake Placid 2 does have a few things missing from the original. For instance, it has at least 5 minutes of perky boob shots. It also manages to not have even one likable character. Trust me, by about 15 minutes in, you want them ALL to get eaten. Comparisons: Instead of the spunky mouthy old lady, you get here 'sister,' who apparently has the same winning personality. But this Sis comes across as just senile, and hopefully bitterly planning her lawsuit against the screenwriters for the whole duration of her part. Instead of a rich kook mythology professor flying in with his uber-cool chopper, you get a rich kook Great White Hunter stereotypically accompanied by his African companion. And this Great White Hunter speaks the entire movie with the worst (yes officially the worst, remember I am authorized) Irish accent ever intimated. Not only does the accent fade in and out while he's speaking, but occasionally changes to British and even Aussie. Easily irritated, constantly harrassed yet lovable Sheriff is replaced with an aging Play Boy Sheriff with a terrible hair cut. The best acting in the movie is done by the Crocs, who being completely made up of CGI, are basically a figment of your imagination. This was 2 hours of my life I will never get back. I am now dumber for having watched it.

This one lacked a great deal in entertainment moments..the acting was cheesy, the gore scenes were silly yes there were some shockers, but not enough to make this a good movie or even a mediocre movie..the croc was soo fake in some scenes you could actually tell it was computer generated..whoever edited this flick needs a second job..LP 2 picks up where LK 1 left off..killer Croc goes wild..and this time there are babies..ooooh..I'm going to bed..enjoy NOT! I was so excited to find this movie Lake Placid 2 unrated to be able to add it to my collection of the Lake Placid trilogy entertaining cast great movie of facts

Not as good as the first
Lake Placid 2 is an average to good (ok) movie. AS we all know many sequals are not as good as the 1st. This movie had no actors from the 1st movie which may have made it a little better. However, Bette Whites sister not as funny as Bette but pretty close. In a few parts John Schneider was in the woods with something like a rocket launcher but during the next parts when he was out of the woods he just had a riffle. The Croc you could tell was animated unlike the 1st movie it looked real. Towards the end it got better however, was no way to us as good as the 1st with the realism of the events and the crocs. The 1st movie you think huh could happen probably unlikely but possible the 2nd movie no way this could happen. We didnt seem to get as drawn into the movie as we feel we could ...
