Product Information

A heartwarming tale for the whole family, LOVE'S ENDURING PROMISE is directed by Michael Landon Jr. (LOVE COMES SOFTLY), and is based on the bestselling book series by award-winning author Janette Okes. A makeshift pioneer family is created when a widow and widower come together for the purposes of survival. Their purely business relationship, however, eventually evolves into one of mutual love and respect. Now the whole family thrives on the unity they have achieved, but when patriarch Clark Davis (Dale Midkiff) is injured, they are faced with much hardship as they work to prevent the loss of the crops. Nineteen-year-old daughter Missie, a schoolteacher, has two suitors pursuing her: Thomas (Mackenzie Astin, THE FACTS OF LIFE) is a handsome railroad man; and Nate (Logan Bartholomew, AMERICAN WEDDING) is a mysterious stranger who has been taking care of Clark as well as the farm. Dvd is not as described and arrived damaged, it wasn’t damaged in transit to me because the packaging surrounding it was unbroken. I bought this thinking it was the dvd in the description, the second 2 pictures were what I got

    The story of Missie Davis: Finding a new life. The second movie in the Hallmark's 'Love Comes Softly' movie series.

    Love's Enduring Promise" is a well-made movie with a fine cast. The cinematography and technical qualities are all very good. The movie is a great love story. It is a basic love story of a girl having to choose between two guys; one who is cute, rich, and maybe a little shallow, and the other who is cute, poor, but very deep. All the actors are great. Most of the characters are quite natural and lively in their roles. The story, the characters and a few casts continued from the first, but leaps forward to a few years where we can see the all grown up Missie. Overall, the movie is a nice break from violence laced movies.

    awesome show I like it lots thank you I sure love it another story with love come softy and I love this story and thank u again love this movie. It is about pioneer times and a lady that loses her husband on the wagon train. She is offered a home for the winter in exchange for taking care of this man's daughter. Of course, in those times, they had to get married in order to live together so they do. As the movie progresses, you watch as they learn to deal with the grief of losing someone they love, they learn to communicate with each other, and they learn to deal with life's everyday ups and downs. This is a movie that leaves you feeling good at the end. There's no sex, violence, or foul language. There is a Christian theme. It's a great family movie. And, as an added benefit, the movies ...

    I love this movie. It is about pioneer times and a lady that loses her husband on the wagon train. She is offered a home for the winter in exchange for taking care of this man's daughter. Of course, in those times, they had to get married in order to live together so they do. As the movie progresses, you watch as they learn to deal with the grief of losing someone they love, they learn to communicate with each other, and they learn to deal with life's everyday ups and downs. This is a movie that leaves you feeling good at the end. There's no sex, violence, or foul language. There is a Christian theme. It's a great family movie. And, as an added benefit, the movies continue on. I have the next dvd to watch too and I can't wait.

    Oh My Goodness!

    This movie is absolutely AWESOME! Once again they had an AMAZING cast and the story was uplifting and edifying. Not to mention, the actor for Willie is wicked good looking ;) I love that this movie is safe for the whole family and that it not only entertains but also teaches without making it feel like that's the only point. It's too bad that in the rest of this series they switched the actress for Missy; I don't think she's as good and it takes away from the story since they don't even look alike. So, I'm just sticking with the first two!
