This is a great add on to ANY pistol. Use scissors peel back paper backing and cut half of the paper off then apply half to handle then peel and apply the other half that way you don't touch the sticky part while your positioning the talon grip on the first half of the handle of the gun. follow directions clean handle with alcohol and after you got talon grip on use hair dryer to heat up grip makes glue activate. Price is twice as high as other sticky grips but you pay for the name. a thin layer of rubber is a thin layer of rubber I can say these DO cover the finger groove area VERY WELL others dont and these do wrap all the way around back of handle others don't. so all in all I like these more than others, even with the extra cost,This is a great add on to ANY pistol. XDS 45 Talon Grips
My grips arrived two days early. They were easy to add to the gun. Mine arrived all black. (fine by me...I was not sure I was going to like the “red lettering” on one of the first advertised picture). The grips provide just the right amount of stickiness. The XDS in 45 ACP, has a quite stout recoil for such a small package. The tackiness of the grip helps the gun stay put in your hand. This “staying-put” is important since, when the pistol slips in your hand during recoil, the slipping allows the backstrap to smack your hands webbing. (ouch factor) Now, with the Talon grips, the pistol stays put. Because it stays put the recoil is distributed through the whole hand and arm and not only into the webbing between thumb and forefinger. The recoil is still stout (heck, If I wanted lighter ... Makes my XDS long term!
The Springfield XDS grip pattern, out of the box, beat my hand up after only a few rounds at the range. The Talon rubber grip made the grip fit my hand much better and diminished that aggressive pattern on the handle. No problem now with 50 or 100 rounds. Definite asset if you shoot an XDS. Very well made
These grips are fantastic! They add a level of improvement over the stock checkered design. Just be sure you own a heat gun or hot air blower, since the last step for applying the grips is to mold them to the polymer.

Great grip improvement for a very reasonable cost
Like the other reviewers, nothing but positives here. Easy to apply and looks the part! Provides a better tactile feel without being sticky. Helps grip and cushion a .45 XDS with 3.3 barrel and full loads without adding girth to the grip. Looks like it is from Springfield itself.
