Very Sturdy, Built to last and an absolutely amazing Wah Tone!
The Dunlop JH-1 Wah pedal is an excellent recreation of Jimi's sound. I had wanted one of these pedals for a long time. As of May/2011 this pedal along with it's reissue JH-1B are now discontinued unfortuneatly. I seriously suggest that anyone who loves Jimi's wah sound nab one of these off of ebay. I own a JH-1, the original Dunlop Hendrix Wah. I cannot review the JH-1B but I would assume that there are only improvements...the original JH-1 needs no improvements really. The wah tone of this pedal is really thick sounding and I have heard and played many Wah pedals in my time and this one IS the Boss! The Frequency Range is Lowered in this specific wah and this is what gives it the thick sound. The outside of the pedal is a very hard and sturdy Die Cast Caseing and it's very obvious they ... I bought mine used just recently and it's one of the original JH-1's, so it's much older than the JH-1B and the pedal is amazing and in really great condition. The only reason a used JH-1 would be in bad condition is due to a previous owner(s) extreme misuse of the pedal. The Low end of the sound is really low and the High's aren't as bright as most other wah's. This Wah is actually a preferred pedal by a LOT of big artists. One in particular I know of is Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains. I also know that this is the very Wah used on Marilyn Manson's cover of Sweet Dreams. Which is one of the many reasons I decided to buy it. The most notable difference between a JH-1 and a JH-1B by looking at them is the front logo. On the JH-1, the Logo is literally a Jimi Hendrix Logo and says underneath it that it's the "original Thomas design". The JH-1B has replaced the logo with an actual copy of Jimi's Signature. Overall it's very sturdy, built to last and has a really amazing Wah Tone. If you want a pedal that has a bit more low-end than too much high-end...this is the pedal for you!

Jimi Hendrix JH1 WAH Guitar Effect Pedal
I bought it used, because I have always wanted a real HENDRIX wah pedal, as they are older technology, and I wanted that. It was fortunate I found a great seller, a pedal can be stomped on and really stomped, but this one was in great shape, almost like new. Pedals and effects and sounds from a guitar are very personal decisions on what an individual likes, he has a ton of pedals and did not need this one, so he sold it, I would say before buying a new pedal, try some vintage stuff, think about the sounds you heard for years, it came from these devices, I like vinyl, so I like the true sound, at least I call it true, digitally remastered, so what, that is a fancy sell term, everything is digitally remastered, sounds impressive, but all it is going from analog to digital ... But have you noticed that the field is clearer than if you were sitting there? Hyper real, is good for some things, but after a while I get tired of looking at things that are created not reproduced, the picture is too real, real life is not that clear, but back to the pedal, if you can find a vintage pedal like this, get it, they are not in huge supply, few sell their own, and try it out, plus I hope you have a great seller like I did, a great guy, and knows his stuff, pleasure to do business with, should have a review of the seller, just a private guy, and would do anything to make sure you are happy with anything he sells, but again back to the peddle if you find one, buy it,

Worth the money, still use the 535q wah along side it
I bought the product just trying to find a wah that would give me a good voodoo chile tone. And that's what this does. Honestly not a drastic difference from the gcb95 wah, but since I didn't spend any more on this I don't really mind. Wish it were a little throatier but that's what I have my 535q wah for I suppose. Now I just have to keep myself from buying the cantrell wah...
