This classic Disney film stars Johnny Whitaker as Lonnie McNeil, a young boy who befriends a young bird dog. Deciding to train the dog as a hunting companion, Lonnie spends his days out on the Tennessee countryside with him, and quickly learns that the dog has a mischievous streak, including, as the film title implies, a insatiable taste for biscuits. However, Lonnie's friend Text convinces him that the dog will come around, and the two boys work hard to try and turn him into a championship bird dog.

One of the best of the OLD Disney FAMILY movies. Released years before Disney became WOKE..Highly recommend for family and personal viewing..

This is a classic Disney Movie! Very heartwarming!
I saw this movie nearly 40 years ago. I have thought of it often although I couldn't remember much of it. I was only around 10 at the time. I was so happy to have found it on eBay. I wanted to see it again and have my family see it. It truly is a great Disney Classic that should be seen by all. Disney doesn't produce movies like this anymore and it truly is a shame! This movie was about hunting, hunting dogs and even had guns in it. It's so sad that "political correctness" has halted the production of movies like this from Disney and other producers. If you want to see a true family Disney Movie that Disney was known for in their early years you must watch the Biscuit Eater. Truly a Classic. The Biscuit Eater
This is a great all around movie you can watch with your family. You do not have to worry about bad language (there isn't any). You do not have to worry about druge use (there isn't any). You do not have to worry about sex scenes (there isn't any). You do not have to worry about violence(there isn't any). This movie is a touching story about a boy, his family and a bird dog. It shows some beautiful footage of dogs tracking and in full point. I give this movie two very enthusiastic thumbs up.This is a great all around movie you can watch with your family. Its a story how two boys train a dog who all feels are no good, they show and train there dog in all ways, they even teach "us" the viewer, what it takes to train anmals to hunt and find and retreve. Its all about the love of there dog and of each other that gets them thru there life, they even have to keep a watch over there mean old neigbor who trys to kill there pet, they train the dog so good it competes in the champion cup in there state.Its a story how two boys train a dog who all feels are no good, they show and train there dog in all ways, they even teach "us" the viewer, what it takes to train anmals to hunt and find and retreve. Its all about the love of there dog and of each other that gets them thru there life, they even have to keep a watch over there mean old neigbor who trys to kill there pet, they train the dog so good it competes in the champion cup in there state.
