Paul's 180 degree transformation
Acting is superb and the atmosphere lends itself perfectly to the New Testament days. Telling the story of Paul's conversion and how he was helped by Luke when in prison, along with how he turned from an anti-Christian zealot to the writer of most of the New Testament letters, is fascinating. The bible came alive for me in a powerful new way - highly recommend this to Christian and non-Christian alike, to immerse yourself into the life of an amazing human being. A quality faith based work of art: The movie transformed my personal understanding of leadership / shepherding
Jim Caviezel always seems to be great in films that contain a philosophical lesson. In Paul Apostle of Christ Jim Caviezel Co-stars as Luke who is visiting his friend and fellow missionary Paul in order to obtain the “last of his wisdom” before he is executed during his second imprisonment in Rome, at the end of the 1st century AD. As a Bible teacher I can say that this movie is above average in historical accuracy there are few things that I would quibble with. Substantial resources were spent on this film so it is high quality and well-acted but more than that the narrative of Paul's life shows Christ life in Paul. Seeing the actor playing pool whipped in prison and hunched over did more to improve my heart’s grasp of Jesus’s type of leadership but in hundreds of sermons. When the Lord ... When the Lord Jesus said the greater be the servant of all in the church it means more than the servant leadership taught in Christian colleges /seminaries. Crucified leadership might be a better describer of Paul's apostleship. Something about seeing the actor playing Paul lased with whips in a Roman prison brought home to me the fact that being an apostle or a shepherd is more than providing the service of leadership in exchange for any tangible benefit including glory or good feelings in this life. This poignant movie instilled in me everything that the current Pope Francis I has tried to teach about selfless leadership in shepherds. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Review of apostle Paul movie
As a Christian I find this movie engaging, very close to the Biblcal story, with minimum artistic license changes (at the end, but it was still beautifully done). It is sad, dark, but truthful. If you are a true follower of Christ, I recommend this movie; if you want factual history I recommend this movie, if you are interested in any way about knowing more about the Christian way or even if you aren't, I still highly recommend this movie.As a Christian I find this movie engaging, very close to the Biblcal story, with minimum artistic license changes (at the end, but it was still beautifully done). Great Biblical Film
This is a well done and informative film about St.Paul & the tribulations he and other Christians faced. The actors are convincing and the whole subject is handled in an informative and spiritually satisfying manner. Highly recommend!

Well done biblical film about the Apostle Paul
I love studying the Bible. This film is well done and gives a good historical (with some artistic license) overview of what Christianity was like under the reign of Nero.
