À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Interplay's post-apocalyptic role-playing game series makes its console debut with the release of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, an action-oriented take on 2001's Fallout Tactics for the computer. The action is viewed from a third-person perspective as players guide their party of three characters, the Brotherhood of Steel, across barren wastelands and underground vaults to find precious resources and to stop a plot that threatens the fragile existence of humanity. A group of mutant raiders plans on acquiring a device that could turn mankind into mutants, but only if they can get to it before the Brotherhood.

Combat in this universe, which borrows its look and style from 1950s science fiction, is an important part of survival, whether its fighting scorpions crawling their way across the sand or defending against marauding pirates looking to cause trouble. One or two players will be able to attack enemies using more than 50 melee, ranged, and explosive weapons. An auto targeting system is used to isolate enemies and to quickly switch between multiple threats. As players earn more experience in combat, they can help increase each character's traits, abilities, and strengths in the race to save humanity from extinction.

  • Great game, but not a traditional Fallout game

So this is the original "worst ever Fallout game". But I'll elaborate on something. This is the first game in the FO series that actually allows for co-op. And what's better about that then FO76? It's a local couch co-op where you don't have to play with random morons online. Another give/take on this game is that it actually swaps out the old timey 20s-60s music for more modern heavy metal like Slipknot. While some loved the change for the 3PS, others hated its departure from the norm. The story overall isn't really something to go crazy about, but it could certainly be worse. As a Fallout collector, I highly recommend getting a copy of this game as it is getting harder and harder to come by. I will say again, if you're expecting the traditional FO experience, you may want to pass this ...

  • Old school but not terrible.

As a game itself it's pretty solid for the time. A top down view helps you keep aware of your surroundings, there is a bit of customization and the playable characters are pretty cool. However, as a Fallout game, it isn't the best. It's nothing like any of the other Fallout games Interplay made and it is very linear. Overall I think it is good for completing a collection if you truly love the games, but definitely do not expect it to be like any of the others. The NPC's are repetitive, highly sexual, and at times a bit dull, and the map is not very large.

  • Fallout!

I never played or heard of Fallout Brotherhood of Steel but it is a very good rpg. I'm glad a bought it. It's very difficult compared to the Fallout games I played on recent consoles but it reminds me of Champions of Norrath because of the gameplay. There are skills and upgrades and different weapons and armor. Overall a very good rpg in my opinion. Worth the price in my opinion.

  • This game is awesome i bought it again cause i lost it

Fallout is one of the best game series period, awaiting the new release of Fallout 3 i bought FOBS again. This game is a side story to the other fallouts in the series, there is no direct relation to the earlier ones except for the brotherhood of steel that appears in every Fallout series as well as some supporting characters, for example there is always a dog named dogmeat and a goul named harold. It has 4 chapters, good story and narrations, 3rd person game play with cool graphics and role playing game play. It all flows very nicely. The story consists of your character (3 to choose from in the beggining, 6 total with unlockables) trying to join the brotherhood of steel and in the progress you help out many groups of people, mainly through killing common enemies. Although it is not as ...

  • A huge fall from greatness

After playing through the Champions of Norrath series and enjoying my sweet time with the Baldur's Gate series, I decided to try the next in my favorite genre of games. I went with Fallout. This game was quite a disappointment. It had absolutely no complexity, no interesting gear, no replay value, and the characters didn't pull me in whatsoever. I think the worst quality about this game, though, is the fact that almost every single level looks identical. The wasteland setting is cool for a little while, but then it really starts to get old. And to try and change it up, they put you in industrial or factory looking areas, but that ends up becoming a bad taste in your mouth as well. The game feels unfinished compared to its counterparts in the genre. Stick with Champions of Norrath, Baldur's ...
