As frontman, songwriter and most prominent visual presence of punk pioneers the Ramones, Joey was a prime mover in musical and cultural revolution whose repercussions are still being felt. After the band hung up it's spurs in 1996, he launched his solo career, brimming with new ideas and adventurous new songs, before his progress was cruelly cut short by his death from lymphoma on April 15, 2001. YA KNOW whose title refers to the phrase that was a ubiquitous staple of Joeys conversation, and which will be the legendary singer/songwriters final album adds a significant new chapter to the seminal punk icons hugely influential body of work. The tracks were drawn from a cache of demos and unreleased recordings that Joey had cut at various times during the last decade and a half of his life. It's a riveting collection of previously unheard songs that embody Joeys trademark intensity, wit and infectious hooksmanship, and that will stand proudly alongside his most beloved Ramones compositions.

Great album from a great singer, and totally enjoyable.
First off I must admit that I am a BIG Ramones and especially Joey Ramone fan. That being said I was very suprised that this c.d. came out. I thought his first solo effort was going to be it, but it wasn't. To be honest I thought the first solo album was a little more rocky and upbeat that this one, but I still enjoy them both a lot. There are a few tunes on this one that are, as my wife put it, a little sappy. But that was Joey, and real romantic at heart, and it shows on this disc very well. With all the other people on this c.d. you will not be disapointed at all, as they all do a great job with the mixing and final product. I have all the Ramones albums, as well as all their solo efforts since the band retired, and I would have to place this one in the middle of the pack somewhere, as ... Excellent album all the way through.
I've always been a fan of the Ramones since I saw the movie Rock N Roll High School when I was a kid , I'm glad that most of the members of the Ramones had solo careers after the Ramones, This album by Joey is probably his very best performance as a singer he sounds so much more better and mature as a singer than ever on this album ya know, it's too bad that it never got released until after he passed away, I think this would have been his most successful project ever. The AWESOME album "Ya Know"
This album is great!!! Joey sounds so good! I listen to "Ya Know" at least twice a day. The songs have so much meaning in them. Thank you for getting it out too me so quickly!
