I READ THIS BOOK TWICE....
The author is a PHD, and uses the vernacular of someone who is very well educated. The book does a great job of explaining how and why he wrote the book, the years of research involved, and uses interesting examples of the dialogue between his subjects, their stories and how it affected their lives. It really broadened my understanding of why we are here, and also removed any fear of dying. I also feel better about those loved ones that have passed, and sheds some light on the difficult relationships I have had in my life. Sometimes, Dr. Newton does use such cerebral analysis that I had to reread paragraphs a few times. I also had to look up a couple of words for their meaning, and I love words! Journey of Souls by Michael Newton
It's an interesting read, I will give it that. But I am far from convinced that it is actually true. As per Dr. Ian Stevenson, hypnosis has produced very little information that can be independently verified. One potentially verifiable detail is previous personality Ross Feldon, a prosecuting attorney in Oklahoma during the 1800's. An internet search on "Ross Feldon" will reveal that multiple attempts to find historical records of this person have failed. Furthermore, it seems a little too close to what Dr. Newton's target audience would expect and want to hear. Comfortable, relatively affluent, presumably White Americans living comfortable, relatively affluent future lives simply because that's what they would choose to do. Do you honestly think anyone would volunteer to be born into ... It's an interesting read, I will give it that. But I am far from convinced that it is actually true. Changed my life.
Bought this book The Year came out, changed my life in serious ways. Made me put down my never-ending Quest for the answer to life, and feel more at ease about why I was here experiencing the things on my path. I've recommended it a hundred times since the mid-90s and bought several copies four people who really needed it. I wish that it was mandatory reading for all high schoolers. It would have a profound effect on our society to consider the potential of this book being completely accurate. What truly fascinated me was that this book was the first proof I found of what's on the other side instead of it being a religious Theory with nothing to back it up. It is as scientific as it is compelling. Still recommending it these days to new friends.Bought this book The Year came out, changed my life in serious ways. Death is NOT the end ! This book is wonderful,and informative a must read !
This book is awesome, and I loved it. It explains how our lives are preordained, and we have a purpose to fulfill in this lifetime. Our souls are everlasting, and we live different lives on Earth, until our soul is perfected, and we return to God. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, and each soul has the devine spark of God within them, and will return to our creator, GOD when we reach that level of perfection.Death is not the end, tho our bodies will die, our soul is everlasting, and returns to Heaven. I had a near death experience at 17, and this book reinforces all the things I experienced at that time. Most families remain in the same soul group when we pass, and friends, family and spirit guides help us when we return. I found this book very enlightening and informative, and it did ... I recommend it to anyone, that is facing death, to give them peace of mind. Reaching To Heaven by James Van Praagh is a wonderful book too. Our soul is everlasting,and we will return to God when the time is right. There is nothing to fear, because we will reunite with loved ones that are waiting for us to come home. I have always had vivid dreams of past lives, and have never forgotten any of them. This book helped me understand why they happen, and usually there is a message within, if we only take the time to see it. Life is a gift, and is very short.Live each day to the fullest!G od bless !

I purchased the book "Journey of Souls" by Michael Newton (1994)a few weeks ago. I am not yet finished with the book however; it is very gipping and hard to put down. The book gives a different view on death and the journey that our soul takes after death. The author uses real case examples (patients) from his practice. The reason that I purchased this book is because I have been questioning my faith and what life is really all about?!?! If you feel lost and alone this book really helps as, life can kick us all so hard at times! It helps to give hope and comfort regardless of your belief system.
