How to Master Airbrush painting by JoAnn Bortles
The book is a very good beginners book, and starts out teaching about all the basics of airbrush painting, explaining the equipment used, and what is needed to get started. It tells in very good layman terms all details needed to setup a beginner. JoAnn Bortles is first and foremost an excellent artist, lending to her quite capable abilities to teach novices the art of airbrush. She presents everything in simple manner, so it easy to understand. You don't have to go back over whatever you just read and think "What is she saying?" It's all there in very good detailed pictures and simple black and white print. An excellent book for the beginner!The book is a very good beginners book, and starts out teaching about all the basics of airbrush painting, explaining the equipment used, and what is needed to get started. How to Master Airbrush Painting Techniques by J Bortles
Excellent book. Starts with the basics, explains the different types of airbrushes and their uses, teaches basic strokes and practice techiques, and continues on through more advanced projects. If you've never picked up an airbrush before but think you might like to try, this is a good place to start. If you're familiar with the airbrush but think you're ready for more than just painting model cars, this is also the book you are looking for. This is not for someone wanting to do taxidermy or studio nudes, this is aimed towards the custom motorcycle/hot-rod croud. Very well written with lots of quality photos of the authors work and how-to projects. Highly recommended.Excellent book. She begins with some of her background, then gives everything someone might want to know about airbrushing from brushes to paints to everything in between. Even thought most, if not all the art is done on motorcycle tanks the techniques still apply. If you are not into much reading and like lots of pictures the book is for you, every step of the particular technique is outlined with diagrams to assist you along the way.
