  • Wow... simply astounding!

This is a book you don't just buy one of; you make sure to get copies for friends and family! What God has done through this little girl is absolutely breath-taking. There honestly isn't a good enough superlative in the English language to describe her super-human abilities not only in painting, but poetry as well - a true binary savant! She was drawing better than most adults at age four and by six, was painting world-class quality art. She's only 12 right now... imagine her abilities to come! Her poetry contains such abstract, yet wisdom-filled thoughts as to provoke even the strongest minds to stop and ponder their deep meanings. Oh, and all this started at seven years old! What else can I say. You can find more information about Akiane at her website: www . artakaine . ...

  • Akiane: Her Life, Her Art, Her Poetry

I came to know of this young Christian girl Akiane and this book via my bible study group. I ordered the book and when I received it I could not put it down as it is very compelling. My wife also has read it and was likewise fascinated. As a result we also bought a few more books as gifts to our children for their families. I also bought one for my niece who is recovering from cancer. We have bcome fans of Akiane and will follow her career. We talk about Akiane whenever we have an opportunity. I recommend this book for the dramatic way that God has chosen to reveal himself to us through this little girl, her faith and her amazing gifts. This book bolsters ones faith and provides hope. Recommended for all ages.

  • I love this book.

This is a wonderful book to have . Inspirational. The book is about Akiane's story, some of her paintings and poems, told by her mother. This young girl is blessed with an amazing gift from God. She grew up in an atheist home and was not exposed to any religion or art. Akiana was homeschooled too. She told her parent that she had met God and Jesus. She was only 4 years old. This gifted girl paints her dreams and what she sees in her visions. I loved it, hope you will too and pass in on.

  • Favorite Christian book

This is my favorite book of all the Christian books I have purchased and or read. I have actually purchased eleven copies of this book, only keeping two (which are both loaned out at present) It is a good conversation peace to take with for appointments, ect. I never tire looking at Akiane's poetry and paintings.....amazing. How can anyone read this and not believe! I am now writing spiritual poetry.....not near as complex as this author's.

  • Akiane

While visiting Iowa, I saw this book in a museum with a display of the artist's work. I left without buying the book and had regretted it ever since. Then I decided to look for it on Ebay. I was thrilled to find it. Akiane, (pronounced Ak-e-on) is Russian for water. This little girl is so gifted. It's not just a picture book, the artist tells what inspired her for each painting and it gives great insight and meaning to each work. You'll be amazed at her wisdom and depth. Some of her paintings are haunting in a way that makes you keep going back to that page. I'd love to have some of her paintings in my home. I highly recomnd this book!
