À propos de ce produit

Product Information

The sequel to the GameCube's first role-playing game once again has players protecting the land of Argwyll from nefarious forces. While a new heroine has agreed to take up the charge, 200 years after the events chronicled in the original Lost Kingdoms, she still wields the same power as her predecessor, Katia: the ability to summon monsters from a deck of magical cards. Lost Kingdoms II increases the number of worlds to 26 and brings the total number of collectible cards to 200, half of which are completely new.

Battles still take place in real time as players conjure up the creatures needed to defeat the enemy, but the lead character, Tara Grimface, can also transform into a creature to attack, solve puzzles, or smash through obstacles. Each level offers a variety of cards to collect, which earn experience points for both the lead character and summoned monster when used in battle. Card shops allow Tara to buy or sell additional cards, upgrade existing ones, or duplicate certain types. The five card types include weapon, summons, independent, helper, and transform, with the final two exclusive to this sequel.

Transform cards let Tara turn into such creatures as a hell hound, stone golem, birdman, and more, while helper cards conjure creatures to help revive health, boost stats, or create traps for enemy creatures to walk into. As in games like Pokémon, players can capture powerful monsters and add them to their collection by finishing off weakened creatures with the capture card. Up to 30 cards can be arranged into a single deck, with players able to edit their deck each time they acquire new cards. As players gradually build their collection into a powerful deck, they can compete in separate battle arenas against a friend in Versus Mode.

Despite local USPS shenanigans, once the item arrived it proved the be even better than expected- more tactile and advanced than more expensive models. Highly recommended for quality!

  • An excellent addition to the Gamecube RPG library.

If you like good, solid RPGs, this is a definite pickup. Lost Kingdoms II has an impressive card battling system combined with real-time movement. Gameplay- The game's battle system is quite well done. Cards are randomly pulled from the deck and then assigned a button (A,B,X,Y). To attack, you simply press the button for the card you want to use. The numerous types of cards and effects are an alluring aspect, mainly because it's not the same thing every time. You have Weapons which you use to target the enemy yourself. You can use anything from a jellyfish shooting a lightning bolt to an armored knight who spears the nearest enemy. There are Independents which walk around and attack the enemies for you. There are Helpers which do everything from raising stats to healing you and your ...

  • Another card rpg but not much different from the first!

this is another rpg that is involving the use of magic cards with summoning creatures or casting spells. this is a sequel to the first one that takes place many years after. it still using the same type of cards and system for battling. the only difference is that it is in real time and not where you go into a battle type phase. besides that there are only a hand full of new cards and not much else. the story is kinda intresting but not that great. it is still a solid card rpg but htey can do much more and invoating things but the did not and kinda left me saying "wow its the same as first with no battle screen!" if you played the first this one you can kinda miss out on and it will not be that bad, but if you not have not played the first it is and ok pick up.

  • Awesome Deal

This game is great! I bought the first one and have been playing it non stop. I can't wait to re-live this and play the second one once i'm done with the first. Game play an controls are good. I wish they'd remake this or make another one in the series.
