This is the biography of a German girl at the time of World War II. Ingeborg grows up in a small village in the state of Silesia that shares a border with Poland. All she wants is to study and become a teacher. She has a fairly good life until the Red Army troops come from the east. It is an icy morning and life changes dramatically for Ingeborg and her family. The time of playing in the garden is over and the fight for survival begins. -After the first verse, we were interrupted by a British lieutenant who spoke to us through an interpreter. 'Stop singing! One does t sing when one is expelled from the homeland!' We were too afraid then to continue singing. The sudden silence reminded us that we had rights at all and that we were worthless. The adults were probably hit harder with that comment than the children, it is difficult to assess today.- An emotional rollercoaster for me. This book just had to be written. - J. Author Biography

Jeron North is a very persistent man. It took him 18 months to convince his mother to tell him the full story which then became February 8th. The book made it to the top spot on Amazon Germany in its category. He lives in Europe and Australia. North writes and plays music and loves to travel the world. As a young musician and songwriter he met Rory Gallagher and Muddy Waters and took the opportunities to play a session with both of them. Later he came across Joe Walsh, Ringo Starr and Bill Wyman to name but a few. North produced an album called Terralis with Albert Lee on lead guitar.
