Impulse purchase, and boy am I glad. My coffee stays at the temp I set. All day long if I like. Quality construction, packaging, easy to comprehend directions and customer support. The app let's you connect the mug to your phone. Set your temp and forget it. Unless you'd like a nifty message telling you when your beverage is at your selected temp. Be sure and update to the latest app version. Pairing the mug to your phone can be a bit frustrating for folks like me who aren't tech savvy. Once you get it set up though, it's amazing. Must have drank a half gallon of coffee when I first got it just because of the novelty of having 1 inch of hour old coffee in my mug that's still piping hot. Mug stays cool. You have to be prepared to accept some technology with your tea or coffee
The hardware seems to be of good construction. The headache came from trying to install the app on the phone. The software is required to set and monitor the temperature of the liquid inside the mug. I couldn't get it to install so I started reading the reviews of the app and found that it mandated that location services be enabled on the phone. Once I enabled location services the app installed without a problem. Why are location services required for me to set the temperature of the coffee in my mug? The only reason I can think of is that the owners of the app sell the tracking info for a tidy profit. Anyhow, back to the mug. It doesn't have a big power reserve when the mug is off the saucer so don't expect this to work for hours. It won't. It will last long enough for a slow ... Good but doesn't go quite hot enough
The product works fine but the maximum temperature it is capable of holding is just about where my husband wants to reheat his coffee, so if it had another 10 degrees of heating ability it would be fabulous. It does hold the temp and we did not have trouble with synching to the phone or other ap issues (which a lot of folks have complained about).

Doesn't meet expectations.
It is a great concept, but very poorly executed in it's engineering. The cup continually forgets the temperature setting, thinks the cup is empty when it's half full, doesn't correctly read the temperature and doesn't keep coffee at the desired temperature. It is the most poorly designed product I have ever purchased. in addition, the coaster contacts stick in a down position making it sometimes not recharge the battery.It is a great concept, but very poorly executed in it's engineering. Great tasting WARM coffee every time
Great tasting coffee at my favorite temperature every time. Product was easy to set up and works as described. My coffee comes out of my Brewer at 147 degrees. I like it at 135 degrees. When Ember reaches my temp it sends an alert to my iPad and I enjoy my coffee.
