janet evanovich's top secret 21 a really good read!
THE FLAP SAYS: TRENTON NEW JERSEY'S favorite used car dealer jimmy poletti, was caught seeling a lot more than used cars out of his dealerships. Now he's out on bail and has missed his date in court and bounty hunter stephanie plum is looking to bring him in. leads are quickly turning into dead ends, and all too frequently into dead bodies............ to top things off , ranger resident security expert and stephanie's greatest tempation has been the target of an assassination plot, I will have to say out of all 21 stephanie plum books, this one is probably the one of the best. While the laughs were not as funny as I would haved liked, none of the books since 1,2,3, have been as laugh out loud funny, but the laughs were ok. What made this book one of the best,was that it had a plot more ... What made this book one of the best,was that it had a plot more substantial than previous books, it wasn't the normal try for the bad guy, fail, go eat, go back to the office, go home, go try for the bad guy, go eat, routine of previous books and it actually had a 2nd plot, with RANGER.... and i think my favorite scene, with grandma mazur which really could have been more funny i don't know how it could have been more funny, but i kept wishing it would have made me laugh out loud. But this book was actually very good, surprised me. really surprised me at how good. how it was able to carry off 2 separate story line plots at the same time. I think Janet is listening to readers when they tell her that after 21 books, stephanie should get a little better at her job, it wasn't a book that was just in it for the laughs, it was a book with a plot and story line, and it was a good book and a good story line.

Fun Read
Have read the previous 24 in this series but was worried about this one after seeing some negative reviews. If you are a Stephanie Plum loyal, you should enjoy. I did. I found many funny moments; especially in the deli. Lulu did save Stephanie's life and she never thanked her...maybe that was off the record? Team Ranger all the way. I find Joe has become dull and as many have mentioned, Ranger goes out of his way to protect/help Stephanie.Have read the previous 24 in this series but was worried about this one after seeing some negative reviews. Love her book enjoy reading them I retire and doing a lot of reading. Especially the Bible

Stephanie Plum needs to be retired
At the very beginning of the series of books I could not get my fill, and waited for the next in line to come out.However, even though I love Stephanie's grandma and thinks she is a hoot--Stephanie should have gotten married and and rode off into the sunset with whomever. The storyline was mundane and so predictible. I actually did something I have never done before--skipped pages--just to have done with the book.This is it for me. I have read my last Stephanie Plum novel. After 21 novels you couldn't even breathe new life into the character. Stephanie Plum is Pathetic at best.At the very beginning of the series of books I could not get my fill, and waited for the next in line to come out.However, even though I love Stephanie's grandma and thinks she is a hoot--Stephanie should have gotten married and and rode off into the sunset with whomever.
