I thought that the book and its contents were most informative and fairly up to date. A grea many excellent pictures were found in this book, and since I was around in the New York City area, and rode many of those cars, I can attest to the accuracy of the work. I wish that the writer would have spent more time, and obtained if possible, more pictures on the elevated lines in the Bronx, Manhattan (2nd Avenue, 3rd Avenue, 6th Avenue and 9th Avenue Systems ) as well as the elevated operations in Brooklyn and the dual elevated/Long Island Railroad operations. Very little time was spent on the Staten Island Rapid Transit, except for a couple of pictures here and there, nor was any mention made of the borrowed Long Island Rail Road equipment on the SIRT. Overall, the book receives a "Good+) ... I thought that the book and its contents were most informative and fairly up to date.
