Product Information

In PGA Tour Golf III for the Sega Genesis, you can choose from these Tournament Players Club courses: Summerlin, Sawgrass, Avenel, Scottsdale, Southwind, River Highlands, Las Colinas, and Woodlands. Prior to entering a tournament, where you must compete for cash against 60 professional golfers and up to three friends, you can hone your skills in the practice round, the driving range, or the putting green. Tournament play includes a Skins Challenge, Match Play, and the EA Sports Shoot-Out, which is a three-hole elimination contest. When you are getting ready to hit the ball, you must decide if you want to hook or slice the ball or if you want to hit it straight, depending on the lie of the ball, what obstacles are on the course, and what your follow up shot is going to be like. You must also decide what club to use, how much arc to put on the ball, how hard to hit the ball, and what effect the wind will have on the ball. When putting, you can look at a contour grid, which shows the topography of the putting surface.

One of the best golf games ever!
I played this game back in the mid to late 90's when it first came out for the Genesis, long before HD, and I recently picked up a Genesis on Ebay & immediately bought PGA Tour I, II, III, & The European Tour. Now the Tiger Woods games of today may look nicer, I believe these games more than makes up for it with pure fun in the game. This entire series is entirely fun to play. I have gotten hours upon hours of use out of my investment. All four of the games I mentioned before (PGA I, II, III, Europe) are fun, but this is the best of the bunch. The menu is a lot easier to find what you're looking for, there are a lot of PGA Tour players, 8 courses, and stats galore. It keeps track of course records, tournaments won, Top 10's, Greens In Regulation, Birdies, Holes In One, and so on. You ... It uses the 3 click method, which is you push a button to start your meter, then push again for power, then again for accuracy. There is a lot of information on the screen too, and it doesn't seem at all cramped. It tells you wind direction and MPH, your club which can be changed at any time, distance left, max distance with your current club, and fade or draw if used. You can also let one of the pros give you advice on each hole, and you can look at the overhead view to see for yourself. During your round, if you're in a tournament, they'll tell you if someone is moving up or down the leaderboard, which is very informative especially if you don't want to check out every other golfers stats each round. There isn't really anything I could find fault with in this game. The graphics are some of the best I've seen on the Genesis. PGA Tour III was my favorite game for the Genesis in the 90's, it's still my favorite today, and I believe one of the best sports games of all time for any console.

Sera PGA Golf Game
Great distraction for my husband who works long hours at a very stressful job. He is older, so think this has been beneficial for his hand/ eye coordination. He is enjoying it!

I like everything about this game. I bought it because I used to have this game. My other one got thrown away because it stopped working, but I now have this game again. My older brother would like this game. He and I both like golf
