One of the most popular television shows of the 1980s, THE GOLDEN GIRLS was created by television writer Susan Harris (SOAP). The show centered on four elderly single women living in the same house together, all played by sitcom veterans: sensible Dorothy (Bea Arthur), sweet but stupid Rose (Betty White), lusty Blanche (Rue McClanahan), and Dorothy's outspoken mother, Sophia (Estelle Getty). The program was nominated for many Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and was consistently in Nielsen's top 10 for its entire run, garnering both critical acclaim and public popularity. It also proved daring for its time: not only did it tackle sensitive political issues, but it was a prime-time show whose main characters were much older than television's desired demographic. Season four collects all 26 episodes from the program's fourth year, and features guest stars such as Quentin Tarantino, Julio Iglesias, and Bob Hope.

Love Me Tender - Dorothy falls head over heads for a man her mother sets her up with but the attraction is purely physical. Blanche and Rose become a mentor to two teenaged trouble makers. 14. Valentine's Day - The girls reminisce about Valentine's Day when all of their dates cancel on them at the last minute. 15. Two Rode Together - Dorothy feels guilty about not spending quality time with Sophia and decides to take her on a trip to Florida. Sophia is not amused. 16. Four older women living together and being best friends
Really like The Golden Girls. They're funny and the episodes are always interesting. The best part is that the characters really do care about and love each other.

Excellent For Golden Girls Fans!!!
I have always been a big Golden Girls fan. I used to watch it every week, with my family. It brings back a lot of great memories. I really enjoy the full episodes and not having to watch commercials! The discs also come with extra features, which are always fun to view. My two young children also enjoy viewing the episodes with me, and they are ages 7 and 9! I would thoroughly recommend this season and all the other Golden Girls seasons to anyone who is in need of a good time!I have always been a big Golden Girls fan.
