Product Information

Developed by the team responsible for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Sierra's Men of Valor: Vietnam is modeled after its successful World War II counterpart. Players are thrust into the thick and stifling jungles of the Vietnam War in a first-person shooter focusing on infantry combat. Using a graphic engine based on Unreal technology, Men of Valor hopes to create a realistic environment fraught with many of the dangers that made the war a harrowing test of survival. Authentic scenarios such as the Tet offensive, Danang airbase, and attack on Hue are featured as well as elements like prostitutes, air strikes, and burning huts. Players will fight alongside fellow soldiers controlled by the computer or team-up with a friend for cooperative play. Additional multiplayer modes offer selectable characters from the North Vietnamese Army, Viet Cong, and U.S. Forces.

Men of Valor overview
Set in Vietnam, this is a straight-ahead FPS, much like COD or MOH. The graphics are close to the same quality, the gameplay goes through the expected missions to complete the game. The player spends a lot of time {expected, since it's set in Vietnam}in jungle settings. The AI lacks, though. Your squad-mates rarely hit much, and frequently get in your way of movement. The enemy tends to be poor shots, I found that I could stand pretty close to them, while they fire, without taking hits many times. The weapons occassionally will not rapid-fire, but that may be glitch in my system, not particularly a game-fault. There's two patches avail. through Gamespot, I haven't tried the patches yet, but they may fix this issue. Pro's~~~ Relatively inexpensive game, ... Graphics are good, the missions seem authentic to the war. The game somewhat reminds me of the TV series Tour of Duty. Good group of weapons to use, health can be refreshed by killing an enemy and going to it. Con's~~~ No F5 or F9 instant-save or instant reload. If you are killed before the game auto-saves your progress, you start right back at the beginning of wherever you were at the mission start and have to go through it all over again. Gets time-consuming and boring after awhile. Overall, an okay game for FPS, but it's not the quality or challenge of a Call of Duty or Medal of Honor.

Not a bad game for the price paid. The enemy seem to always stand and walk sideways, and need alot of work, even when shot, they just stand there, so its hard to tell who's dead or alive. It can be challenging, I stopped when I couldnt assult the hill, I couldnt find a way to do it without being killed numerous times. Whats neat about it is the traps and variety of weapons you can use. There is quite a bit of profanity in game, which is a turn off. Overall, it must have been released too quick.Not a bad game for the price paid. Men Of Valor Pc Game JUnk
Short & Sweet. The Games FanFare movie intro Etc & some Facts Learned on the Era is okay. When so many people involved in making the game it turns out to be Crappy Game Play. The AI's & game moments are to those who just learned how to make a game, Total rookies. Id rather they keep to making a movie or draw in a book because pc games like this is best as free shareware & a waste of money..Oh It does make as a good trash can filler. TNShort & Sweet. Men Of Valor PC Game
Loved this Game! This was my first War Game for my PC and the graphics are amazing. It didn't take long at all to learn the controls but did take some getting used to. I found it challenging.. I got killed a lot :) A lot of foul language, blood & gore .. For the Mature Only definately.

OF THE MANY WAR/FPS GAMES OUT THERE,THIS ONE HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITES. AS YOU PROGRESS THROUGH THE LEVELS,IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO WIN WITHOUT USING HELP OR CHEAT MODES. THAT BEING SAID,I FOUND THE GRAPHICS AND ACTION STILL EXCITING INTERESTING ENOUGH TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE GAME. LOTSA FUN!
