Due to my hobby: Middle East stamps (Syria/-Lebanon), its almost inevitable not to be interested in the History of these countries.After finishing the Greek,-Roman,Byzantine era(Exposition on stamps about the various cultures left by these conquering powers: - Buildings in Syria!)it is now the turn of the Crusades as a new project = Castles, History and Militia. So all info is a plus!! This book, as far as I have started to read, contains a lot of infor-mation for my project, which I hope to have finished before next years Postex in Apeldoorn. A Perspective Within Context
This book tends towards the factual rather than the mystical in regards to the Knights Templar. The author strives to present documented information within the political, economic and cultural environment of the time discussed. For me, this approach provides a better understanding of the creation, evolution and ultimate demise of the group.
