    Born in Upstate SC, I loved finding a cookbook focused on dishes native to Southern Appalachia. Photography was well done (no pun intended), the recipes easy to follow. Best part for me was the ingredients listed - poke sallet (polk salad), ramps, pot likker... brought memories of late kin to the moment. If you love the confluence of NC/SC/GA/TN/VA, you will appreciate this book.
