    The mayor....

    We are fortunate in having his words available regarding all that happened during those years of the 'great folk scare' and the diverse array of talented unique people who were a part of the scene. It was a special time never to be replicated again....Dave writes with an amazing clarity of those times and with a sterling sense of humor and insight not only into the lives and times but also his own strengths and weaknesses

    Especially fascinating for fans of Dave Van Ronk, his personal take and first hand account of the Great Folk Scare and The Village of the 50's & 60's. His keen eye and ear go right to the heart of the good, the great, and the weird of that cultural watershed. You'll love it.
