The Highly anticipated album 'Nothing Is Sound' is nothing short of brilliant. When Jon, Tim & Chad first started off with 'The Legend of Chin' album they gained worldwide recognition for they're unique rock styles and extremely moving lyrics thanks to frontman Jon Foreman. After pulling Jerome Fontamillas on-board throughtout the platinum selling album 'The Beautiful Letdown' Switchfoot as also acquired a new guitarist, Andrew Shirley. Now this five-piece band has really been exploding on to the music scene. If you like the last album - you will LOVE this one. Their hit song Stars will thrill any type of modern rocker and the song styles and lyrics in We are on Tonight and The Shadow Proves The Sunshine will simply awe you! Pop Rock Perfection
It's hard to beat the originality, the "ability to convey your influences without sounding like a direct rip-off", or the ability to conceal your direct influences. Switchfoot has a unique sound, and a great vocalist and they know how to write pop-perfect songs. Are all their songs great? No, but when they hit the mark, it's an unmistakable gem. Name me a band writing right now that does a better job of this "pop perfection" and I'll be arguing with you for a couple of days. I only wish there were more unique, original rock bands in the world today that could hold a candle to Switchfoot.It's hard to beat the originality, the "ability to convey your influences without sounding like a direct rip-off", or the ability to conceal your direct influences. Great cd!
I love this cd! All of the lyrics are very meaningful, insightful, etc. They seem to speak to your heart. I bought the cd because I love Switchfoot. I have all of their cds. The songs don't have as much as a "rock" beat as some people might like-although "Stars", "Politions", and "Lonely Nation" are somewhat of exceptions. Still, if you're like me, and are not just looking for a great beat, but also for very deep lyrics, then this cd is perfect. Although, I like the beat in the songs, too!I love this cd! Switchfoot- Nothing is sound. A band I knew of.
I bought it because it was cheap.I knew of the band for some time. Just wanted to hear what they sounded like. I was pleased with my purchase. I have grown to like it even more. And it has great spiritual applications for my Christian faith.

Great music but beware with iTUNES
Has protection on it from Sony depending on which version. Easy to get around by just burning a CD and then uploading to iTunes, but inconvenient. Great band and great music. Not as good as Beautiful Letdown as that is an Excellent.
