Product Information

The Intellivision II by Mattel is sought by collectors worldwide. It delivers complete gaming control with sharp, detailed graphics and high sound quality right out of the box. Included are a music keyboard and a sleeker case in white. Mattel's 49-key musical synthesizer keyboard was a first of its kind in the gaming industry and intended for teaching music as well as entertaining users with games like Melody Blaster. The LED light on the console provides updates on the device status, letting you know whether it is off or on. The multifunctional power button also acts as a reset switch and an off/off switch that turns off the device when held down for five seconds. You can press the 1 and 9 buttons to set the game on pause during breaks. The controllers for the Intellivision II by Mattel have a flat-surface, a 12-button numeric keypad, and four action buttons on the sides. Each controller has a directional disk that is able to move in 16 directions. The original Intellivision II also includes the System Changer, a device that allows the user to play Atari 2600 games. Original video games for Intellivision come in cartridge form. The Intellivision is compatible with cartridge games for many vintage arcade titles, thus contributing to the enormous popularity of the console. The Intellivision is also compatible with educational games for young players, which is another key component that made the system a hit. Mattel was known for many firsts at the time. For instance, Mattel improved the audio on its system consoles when it released IntelliVoice, an innovative add-on device that produces voice synthesis for certain games. Only four Mattel games were released for the IntelliVoice: Space Spartans, Bomb Squad, B-17 Bomber, and Tron: Solar Sailor. Mattel continued to make new games for Intellivision consoles until 1991. Collectors and video game system enthusiasts alike seek out and enjoy the Intellivision II by Mattel, along with its many games.

    Intellivision II is the way to go if you're looking for an original intellivision video game console. Way better than the original console!

    Simply amazed that it works after almost 40 years! Whoever owned it in the past did a remarkable job of taking care of it. Very impressed! I had the original console, and from personal experience, the Intellivision II is is a much smarter, cleaner looking system. The fire buttons are much more reliable, the controllers are detachable if need be, and it's not trying to look like a piece of furniture. Also, I appreciate the power light, the original version didn't have one, and it was easy to forget you hadn't turned it off and before you knew, the system was pretty warm. Looks more like a cousin to the NES.

    II is better than 1

    Love the smaller footprint over Intellivision I. Love the detachable controllers. Love the power indicator light. Seems much more 'solid' and well put together as a unit. Power supply external to console and easily replaceable. Only complaint is the power on/reset button itself doesn't seem consistent. Hold it down for a few seconds and sometimes it resets and sometimes you have to repeat until it works, or power off the unit (I use a power switch to plug the power supply into) but it always 'feels' solid anyway...

    WOW RGB Mattel Intellivision II Game Console with RGB & A/V Output AMAZING

    Playing the intellivision in 1080p is amazing!! If you are a fan and you want the best picture possible this is the way to go! Intellivision collecting is a hobby for my 6 yr old and 3 yr old sons and myself and they love this one because there is zero interference when using the 21 pin SCART cable!!

    Intv Baby!!!

    Hey. This seemingly bland console created some of my best childhood memories! Burger Time, Tower of Doom, Atlantis, Mission X, and Sub Hunt are STILL very awesome even almost four decades later! Intellivision also plays Atari games too! Nostalgia Gamers, BUY yourself an Intv and understand how gaming was great even before some of is were born!!

    INTELLIVISION11

    My favorit game to play is NIGHT STALKER, & the controler keys don't work, so I haven't bean able to play any of my games using the key board, the last 3 I've got all have the same problem. All I realy need is 2 working controlers
