My first GPS (a Magellan 3250) turned out to not be able to download updates. Nobody told me that. So, after contacting Magellan about it, their only suggestion was to "upgrade" to a newer one that could update. They told me about their "buy back program", that essentially requires me to send in my old GPS and get a rebate off a new one. After looking at the list, I thought the RoadMate 5265-T would be the best and least expensive model. Best of all, it could be updated. After doing the math, I decided to keep my old 3250 and started looking for the 5264-T, which I found here on eBay at a fantastic price. Although my wife is the primary user of this model, I did get a chance to ride along one day and see how it worked. The first time we used it was to find a store which I knew was ... The 5265-T got us heading in the right direction but only got us to within a half mile of where we wanted to go. It recognized the address we put in and even told us we were turning into the store but we weren't. Unfortunately, the half mile distance wasn't flat so we were never able to see the store and ended up going home. The ride home was also just as troublesome because it was giving us the strangest directions. Had I not known where I was, or not been with my wife, it would have been a disaster. My only guess as to why it didn't work properly is that it had either gotten too hot sitting in the car or it needs to be updated. I plan on trying to update it to see if anything changes. It's a bit of a shame that we had this problem. I had high hopes this would be one we could keep for a long time. We'll see.

Good unit
Nice for the it being a factory refurbish ,it comes with a warranty . The only con is the unit take a bit to acquire the satelite after flying to NY it show my last location and it was a while before locking in. The view for the back up camera is not clear day or night. .so had to get a 7" monitor....The red light warning goes on where their are no red lights.

This is the great.
I wont say it's perfect, But I WILL say that it's amazing! It gets current trafic info and then it asks you if you want to go around the trafic. At the very least, you get to know what the he**'s going on ahead of you, trafic-wise. I'm just VERY imppressed by the technology (if not it's one or two software bugs, which I'm OK with). THANKS!!!
