    Gorgeous artwork set to a fun but thoughtful story.

    Wabi Sabi is a compelling but easily followed tale exploring the Japanese concept of the beauty found in imperfection or incompleteness. Written as a children's picture book, it follows the travels and adventures of the housecat Wabi Sabi as she seeks to discover the meaning of her name. Other animals that she encounters offer her bits of wisdom and guidance, quietly furthering the initial concept by seeming to suggest that the odd and imperfect journey of life is itself the ultimate expression of finding beauty within imperfection.

    Our imperfections are what make us us

    A good children's book is also written for adults which this one is. The reading orientation of the book is unique. The pictures are beautiful

    wonderful children's book with exceptional art

    i collect children's books strictly for the art. this book was a must have for my collection. it won the new york times best illustrated children's book for 2008. when i checked it out on amazon and barnes and noble it was sold out. i immediately went to ebay to find. i found this 1st printing, 1st edition, on ebay and gobbled it up! it was money well spent!
