This is the book You need
Being new to To DSLR photography, I got the Canon EOS 350D and I`m glad I did. The only thing that disappoints is the manual.If you`ve got this camera and you need a handle on it this is the book. I had to carry it with me for a few weeks but this is the book that will realy help you suss all the features of this camera. Michael Guncheon is a contributing editor for PCPhoto magazine and is author of "Helpline," one of the magazine’s oldest and most popular columns. He has also written for Digital PhotoPro and Outdoor Photographer magazines. His résumé includes a long list of professional assignments in video and film editing, which includes commercials, music videos, and documentaries. Canon EOS 350D The Canon EOS 350D is an 8.0-megapixel entry-level digital single-lens reflex camera. The model was initially announced in February 2005. It is alternately known as the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT in North America and the Canon EOS Kiss n Digital in Japan. It uses Compact Flash storage and a Lithium ion battery. The 350D is an upgraded version of the popular Canon EOS 300D, which was the first sub-US$1000 digital SLR, introduced in 2003. The differences between the 350D and the 300D are significant and are present in almost all aspects of the camera. Many of the features 'locked out' by Canon in the 300D were unlocked in this camera, so it has been subject to less unofficial 'hacking' to release the locked features. In addition to these unlocked features, a number of other improvements have been made. Pretty good
A decent book, especially for beginners. If you are familiar with DSLRs or can understand the included manual, this book is rather redundant, devoting quite a few pages to how digital photogrpahy works and lens choices. So, depending on who you are, this book will either be very helpful, or rather silly. If you are new to DSLRs, get one!

Great book, highly recommended. Goes beyond the manual that came with the camera.Tells why you use a certain setting with clear examples.
