    A "Foundation" Cooking Book

    Yep.. there are 1001 recipes for cookies in this book AND a photo for each one! This is one of those books that will be handed on through the generations, butter and vanilla stains and all. Each recipe is accompanied by a photograph of the cookie. Just enough information is given to troubleshoot a possibly tricky recipe without the often confusing chattiness of some cookie books. I really enjoyed Gregg Gillespie's forward where he says that these recipes are essentially jumping off points for your own creativity. I am buying more copies to give as wedding gifts. I see this as one of those foundation cookbooks; the kind of book that belongs in every passionate cook's kitchen.

    Best Cookie baking book. I had a paperback copy that was ruined, I have greatly missed one of my favorite baking books.

    Again, thanks I'm so excited. My grandchildren will now get their favorites.I'm new at this.

    A must have for any cookie maker!

    Everyone should own a copy of this book, I was delighted to find it after I had lost the copy I had for years in my move. I dont have google for cookie recipes anymore! This book is super easy to use with the simplest layout possible.. omitting all the junk. Now if I could just find one like this for pies, breads candies etc.

    1001 Cookie Recipes by Gregg R. Gillespie (1995)

    This is a great cookie book. Each recipe shows a picture of the cookie. I baked at least 6 different cookies from this book this past Christmas. Wonderful recipes. I would highly recommend this book. I went to Ebay this year as I wanted new ideas for my Christmas cookies and I found them there, not only did I buy a couple cookie books, but I bought cookie cutters too.

    Yummy cookie treasured cookbook

    Great recipes - just what I was looking for. Had old, trusted cookie recipes, as well as new, updated recipes. Really a treasure!
