À propos de ce produit

Product Information

A New York Times bestseller people can believe in--by "a pioneer of the new urban Christians" ( Christianity Today ) and the " C.S. Lewis for the 21st century" ( Newsweek ). Timothy Keller, the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, addresses the frequent doubts that skeptics, and even ardent believers, have about religion. Using literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and potent reasoning, Keller explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one. To true believers he offers a solid platform on which to stand their ground against the backlash to religion created by the Age of Skepticism. And to skeptics, atheists, and agnostics, he provides a challenging argument for pursuing the reason for God.

Avis les plus pertinents

  • An excellent addition to your Christian library.

This book, by Timothy Keller, can be compared to C.S.Lewis' Mere Christianity in its exposition on a God in creation and , therefore, in our lives. He, Timothy Keller, speaks to our needs in a language more in keeping with our native "American" language than does Lewis. I recommend to anyone who is searching for affirmations of one's faith.

  • Reason for God

An excellent book for anyone at any stage in their spiritual walk, or questioning/seeking

  • Disappointment

I bought this book because I wanted to know the view of someone who is in the Reformed community pertaining to the topics that were addressed in the book. I will have to say that reading material from evidential apologists is more edifying and compelling than whats in this book.

  • This book addressed so many doubts that people encounter towards faith. So gentle and encouraging!

This book was definitely well loved and it used to be a library book. The cover is worn but the rest is good condition.

  • Great book addressing many philosophical, moral, and historical questions surrounding the Bible.

Great resource for anyone looking to compare the views on human existence found in the Bible as compared to other philosophies. Delves into truth, science, history, and thought as viewed through the lens of the God as creator.
