    For us oldies but goodies

    For all us old folks, this is a great cd to add. For younger fans of the old movies and TV shows and the songs from them this is a winner.

    My Rifle, My Pony & Me = A+ & 5 Star

    We originally bought this CD for the title song. But as is with all good recordings, the one track you believe will be the best ends up equal to all the rest. It begins with an introduction by the cowboy of cowboys, John Wayne, and it just keeps getting better. Each song takes you back to that special moment in the movie where you remember hearing it. And all the great western songs are here on this 26 track CD. All recordings are in their original sound, so you don't get the feeling that it was later recorded in the studio in a different version. They sound just as they did in the movies! This is a Bear Family Records so you know it's good quality. We recommend this CD. You won't be disappointed.

    Not my genre of music...a gift

    I don't have an opinion because I am not a country/western music fan. I prefer clasical and opera. I live in Germany and work for the military. I have made many German friends and they love country/western music. They worship Johnny Cash and many others. It was a gift.
