Avis les plus pertinents

  • Nice portable, functional, and great looking device and iPad alternative.

Terrific device that works better than expected. The visuals are great for pictures and the Internet. One can create several accounts for email, social networking, and photo storage. It also has a nice apps store which should expand. Storage capacity can be expanded by getting a free 50gb Boxes account. the only drawbacks for me are difficulties accessing the files system and playing videos located on the device and attracting smudges. It plays Youtube, Dailymotion, and demo videos very well, however, I cannot locate the vidwos I uploaded to the device for play. The glossy finish attracts fingerprints, but does clean-up well witht he included cleaning cloth. I bought it because it was inexpensive and not an Android, Windows or Mac. I love it's size and was able to type on it very easily. ...

  • Not perfect, but good for the price!

It's still early days, as I've only had it 3 days, but first impressions are as follows... The positives: 1. Cheap, after HP discounted them all. Even taking into account the mark-up that resellers on eBay are charging. 2. It's not an iPad. 3. The "just type" function is good - as it says you just type whatever it is you're after - be it a website, app, contact, calendar item etc. - and it brings up the choices. 4. Display is good and clear. The negatives: 1. Availability of apps. Still some way to go to catch-up with iPad, Android (and even Blackberry). With the exception of Kindle, I have everything I actually need though. 2. I can't seem to get the Kindle app at all. One of my justifcations for getting a Touchpad was that I could use it instead of my Kindle. This is the ...

  • Great Product -- Incredible Buy -- Glad that I made this Purchase!

I wanted a high quality notebook at a great price and after many months and much research, I decided to purchase the 32GB Touchpad even though I knew what was going on with HP and the TP Issue. I am so glad that I made that decision. This is a high quality, well built and extremely polished tablet. As am admitted "Tech Junkie", I am impressed with the user interface and ability to multi task with the Touchpad. Although I don't use many apps, my biggest complaint is the lack of utility and magazine applications. My wife has the IPAD 2, my daughter has a Samsung android tablet but they will admit that love the Touchpad more. Thank goodness that HP is keeping their promise to continually update WebOS. Overall one of the best tech decisions that I have EVER made!

  • An excellent device unfortunately hampered by a poorly managed HP

As an owner of both an iPad 64GB WiFi and now this Touchpad I can say that I have a lot more fun using the Touchpad. It is slightly larger but both weigh close and the more rounded back is more comfortable to hold than the thinner iPad. iPad definately has more applications but the ones the Touchpad does have work very well. You can out of the box edit and save documents on the Touchpad obtained from your google docs account, or setup a new Box account or both simply and easily and also save the files locally from these sources (as well as others) for times you wont have access to WiFi. Touchpad is also not hindered from being closer to an actual computer like the iPad is by Apple's lockdown of most capabilities. Would have done better in the marketplace if these differences were ...

  • Nice product and great value!

I bought this tablet for the WebOS operating system. Its uniqueness was a selling point. I had done my research and there were a lot of pros and cons to this tablet, but price, open source & Beats audio were it for me. Android maybe the "IT" OS now, but I prefer a simpler OS although with this tablet I can download Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The ease of navigation is unsurpassed, especially for what I use it for. Not many apps, but I'm not an app person anyway. My suggestion: if you want a simple easy to use tablet, this is the one!
