    Thought provoking and tender book

    I have read about 4 of Jodi's books and this was is by far my favorite. While there is a lot to think about in reading this book, I believe the story was beautifully told from everyone's point of view and was so glad I read it before seeing the movie which I was told not to do because the ending was changed in the movie version. I have yet to see it. If you like books with medical and ethical decisions to be made and how such decisions effect a family, this is a must read. I think the book will remain my favorite for some time. I loved the way this book ended even though it was totally unexpected. I think the only criticism I find with her books is that sometimes I think her books could be shortened a bit without ruining the story, but admire the amount of research she does to ...

    Meet your new favorite author!

    This is one of my favorite authors, so finding a lot of 4 of her books was a prize! There is nothing like reading the novel before it was made into a movie. Jodi Picoult is an amazing writer who captures your interest & emotions. You will keep turning the pages..

    Was worth waiting for

    Loved it! Made me question a lot of my own thoughts....presented family relationships in a very realistic way...I saw previews for the movie and really wanted to read it....always try to read the book before I see the movie....brought me to tears several times...highly recommend reading...my cousin had read it and was going to lend it to me but couldn't find her copy so I just decided I needed to buy it rather than wait....
