    Golf in the Kingdom

    If you are a golfer or are thinking of becoming one - this might be a fun read for you - I have read it several times and bought this for a friend as I am constantly recommending it - the first part is a short but entertaining story about finding one's own personal golf guru...and the tale has semi-mystical depth as well as humorous takes on the game as they play it in Scotland - the rest of the book offers a selection of insights into the game as it has evolved over the years- comments about why business people enjoy it so much, how a ball was hit on the Moon in 1969 and more - not a how-to, but more of a glimpse into the psychological aspects of the game's addictive nature once you get into it and understand the challenge - a must for any golfer in my opinion...

    Golf in the Kingdom does not tell us anything about the actual content.

    content relates to golf only indirectly thru conversation between friends who enjoy the game. I was expecting direct commentary about the game

    Disappointed

    The inner game is alive and well, but unless your "golf on planet earth" is a one handicap, this book is not for you. Save your money and take a lesson from a real golf pro. Otherwise, unless you need a tour guide through all the cheesy pop psychology trends of the last forty years, go elsewhere for your personal enlightenment.
