    Pilgrims Progress by David Hawkes, John Bunyan (2005)

    The classic story of the Christian pilgrim is tackled in this tome by John Bunyan. The exact language of the time is used, but David Hawkes provides excellent insight into the comings and goings of the idiosyncratic language of the late 17th century. The translations of the Middle English terminology is superb. Not only does this rich tome include the original Pilgrims Progress, but it's equally superb allegorical sequel in which Christians' wife and children, and neighbor undertake the pilgrimage. Highly recommended to those who love Middle English literature, and to those who favor very good Christian, or moral fables.

    Finding a long-time favorite

    I was excited to find this book,PILGRIM'S PROGRESS on e-bay and at a great price.There was a hardback copy in my parent's home when I was growing up.It is no longer there and I thought I would like to have a copy.
