Great Collection of Billy Joel's Work!
I bought the set because I had upcoming tickets to the Billy Joel - Elton John Face2Face concert and didn't know a whole lot about Billy Joel. This set, besides the excellent price I got in the auction...was just what I was looking for. It contains 4CDs with 44 cuts. Even at retail price, it's a steal for the quality of the songs and musicianship. The BJ/EJ concert was awesome, but Billy Joel's band stole the show in my estimation, with their musicianship. BJ was funny, and boy can he play and sing...the energy and talent! This collection also contains a 40 page booklet with biography, lyrics and great photography. Billy Joel Hits Collection
This is an excellent collection for Billy Joel fans. It has all his great hits, and live recordings with commentary. I especially like the book with the inserts of his actual handwritten composition of certain songs. The pictures included were also rare, as i havent seen them in any other album collections. This is a wonderful cd compilation for travelling!!!

billy joel complete collection 73-97 album

A master of music!
Billy Joel once again wows me with his incredible voice and art of taking you into his songs. The songs are placed so that the speedier tempos and the slower ones are not all bunched together causing me to snooze with the more mellow ones when they get batched up. The purchase price was great, the seller too! The case which houses the 4 CD pack is like a little book with the lyrics and notations and that alone is great. I have learned the correct words now to the songs! LOL. I don't have any complaints about this other than the fact I wish I had gotten it sooner. You certainly get what it says on the box, but its the unexpected extras that make this special. What is there not to like? The presentation of the whole box set is superb. Three CDs covering all of his hits to 1997. Disc 4 covers the Q&A session and gives a unique insight into how some of his music and lyrics came about, but also demonstrates what a great 'communicator' he is. An added bonus is the integral booklet with all the lyrics.
