This little thing will impress you...
I own two of these players and I have to say, when I first got one of these I thought it was a little piece of $***. After two weeks I found myself using it more than my iPod. It's very easy to get songs on it since it uses a standard USB cable (which is compatible with a lot of other computers and such devices). I just connect it to my computer or my ps3, locate it and simply copy the songs onto it! The sound quality is also great coming from such a small player, it can go pretty loud too. The interface is pretty straight forward, didn't even have to read the manual to know how it works. I also like that you can use micro cards to expand the memory, *Cough iPod* you'll have plenty of songs to satisfy all your music needs. The only downside to me is, it ... One may feel odd using a device this small, but it grows on you, ignore what others say! Laugh at them since they're missing out on such quality piece of plastic!

Small w clip, "Drag & drop cap", with 16gb cap micro SD
For $30. It can't get better than this player. Im already so satisfied with the playrr! The things I love about it are. 1) Tiny size! Too easy to carry around! 2) 4gigs PLUS can accept micro SD card up to 16gb. 20gigs total! 3) Easy to use! No ITUNES or progams needed to work with it. Which I think is STUPID about Apples. 4) Drag & drop capability. (FORGET IT on the apples) 5) Plays WMAs too. NO hassle to convert WMAs to MP3. (A PAIN) Its NOT like those stupid Ipods that are Racis..... File-ists where they favorite MP3 more than WMAs What's UP wit dat! 6) Sounds really NICE for the price! Has equalizer feature and everything! 7) If these are eventually going to go bad, take that memory card out and use it somewhere else. Things I don't like 1) I don't ... For $30. And theres nothing I can do to CANCEL this. There's no way I can remove battery etc 3) Well if I can say one thing, MAYBE it not a name brand product. BUT I DID NOT BUY TO SHOW OFF THAT BRAND NAME. I just want to get to the POINT... and put my music in the player and enjoy it and play through the aux of car stereo etc! 4) NO VIDEOs, Just music!

I really like it but it has some quirks.
This is my third Sansa Clip and I really like it. It's small, the clip has very good grip so it's easy to work out with it, and it's easy to charge up and add music and audiobooks to it. It does have some quirks though. The directory structure can be changed to allow for the way you add files to it but sometimes it will change for some reason and I haven't figured out how to change it back. Battery life is decent as we use it as a 'mixed' tape on an 8 hour drive that we take 4 times per year and it has never run out of battery during a trip. Of the three I've owned, one no longer works and another has become 'quirky' but is still usable.This is my third Sansa Clip and I really like it. Good product for people who like VLC/Realtek HD sound
I bought Sansa Clip+ to have a little clippable player for cycling and gym. Having read many positive reviews about the sound I did not hesitate to purchase it without trying out. When I finally got to listen to it, I was slightly disappointed. Yes, it does sound better than many compact players, but it sounds like VLC player with a Realtek HD chip. This is the sound that I don't personally like, it's too harsh to my ear. I compared it to my old Creative Zen V Plus and found the latter satisfactory, so I decided to keep my old player and sell the Sansa Clip+. Otherwise, for people who enjoy VLC+Realtek HD sound, this player is a true gem, because it has a lot of useful features (like recording, memory card slot), which are further expandable with the third-party Rockbox software. The number of sound settings (as well as other settings) in the Rockbox software is impressive. Parametric equalizers, compressor, dithering, and so on. And yes, this player has high volume capacity, in case you want to use it with higher impedance headphones. UPDATE: with a headphone amp this player provides better sound. I also tested as many as three makes of this player (2GB, 4GB and 8GB from different batches), I can tell you that every batch has its own specific sound, and you never know what you get. Also be careful about which version of Rockbox you use. If you are not sure, stick to older versions (around 3.7), because one of the 2012 versions bricked my player.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks--somewhere between 40-50 a year. I love this player because it's inexpensive, lightweight, it sounds pretty good (certainly good enough for speech), the battery lasts forever, and it's packed with features. It's also compatible with the Overdrive system libraries use for their audiobook collections, so I'm able to save a ton of money by borrowing audiobooks rather than buying them from Audible. I do use Audible as well, and it's compatible with that system too. The only minor issues are: 1. They almost always stop working at some point. Still, expect your Clip to last 1-2 years if you use it often, then you have to go looking for another. 2. This model isn't being made anymore, and the world has found out how cool they are. So, expect to pay more for a used one than they cost when new, back when Sandisk was still making them. They used to cost about $30-$40 brand new, and you can find them now on ebay for $60, $70, $80 or more. I've seen people try to sell them for over $100. I think if you can get one in the $50 range it's totally worth it. One last thing...Sandisk now sells a player called the Clip Jam. It is NOT the same as the Clip+ and in my opinion it's a piece of junk. I have one in my desk drawer that I never use.
