Shark 250 watt amp
I bought this system to put on my 1300 V Star. I love the price and the system is well worth the money in my opinion. I would like a better sound but it is ok. The radio works ok but trying to change channels while riding is not really safe and near impossible. I use it mainly to amplify my MP3 player which it does quite well. The speakers are waterproof but amp is not so it needs to mounted somewhere dry. I could not find a spot on my bike that I could hide it from the weather so I mounted it behind the windshield. I use and old quart oil container to cover it from rain. I intend to make a clear lexan box to cover it in the future. The sound is a little tinny. It has a sub woofer output but I have no idea where I would mount one. Also had to fabricate handlebar clamps for speakers I was ... I bought this system to put on my 1300 V Star. On my bike the speaker brackets would not fit on my mirrors. I did quite a bit of research before my purchase and knew what I was getting into. This installation was not hard but it helps to be handy and have access to stuff to fab with and imagination to go along with. If you check youtube for this type of thing it helps. If you expect to be done in a half hour you will be dissapointed if you like to tinker with your bike like I do you wont.
