Product Information

Soul Calibur V sticks to the series' signature "8 Way Run" style of 3D fighting, bringing subtle refinements to control mechanics and a drastic expansion of customization options. The game's "Just Guard" defensive move requires less accuracy, but rewards perfectly timed blocks with a nearly instantaneous opportunity to counter attack. The game also adds a sidestep move, accessed with a quick double tap. The Character Creation mode allows players to choose height, facial expressions, colors, voices, weapons, and special effects, as well as fighting style.<br><br>In the series' tradition of guest stars, Assassin's Creed II's Ezio is available for play. The game's 30-character roster includes Siegfried, Ivy, Yoshimitsu, and other Soul Calibur legends, as well as new characters, such as Patroklos and Pyrrha, the son and daughter of Sophitia. Set 17 years after the events of the previous game, the main story follows Patroklos' quest for the Soul Swords through Renaissance Europe. In addition to the solo modes, players can battle against a friend on the same system, or find a fight online.

    Awesome game, amazing new features, really enjoyed it!

    i did love SoulCalibur 3, SoulCalibur 4 changes were kinda weird and both were a bit slow phased for my taste, but this one feels fantastic! the graphics are better than SC4, haven't play story mode but it cant be worse than SC4's story, anyway i don't feel its of great importance in a fighting game, i love the improvements made to combat, the character selection could use more space and the card style used in the custom selection is kind of annoying because is not that easy to see the differences between one or the other but the artwork of the characters looks awesome anyway. Would give it 5 stars, but because of the minor flaws and since i haven't even checked the story, i'll give it 4 stars to be fair. If you liked previous Soul Caliburs then you will probably love this one! totally ...

    I would really recommend this seller A++++++

    overall I think the game was one of the better games in the series. I think the best games for Soulcalibur were two and three. Although one was really good too.I would say Soul Calibur 5 is probably the third best game in the series if not second.first of course being number 2...although I guess Soulcalibur one was very good as well.I think Soul Calibur 5 would fall in third...just because it had that all regional Soul Calibur feel to the game...a lot of people like Soul Calibur 4 because of Star Wars stuff but to me it was just okay as far as the gameplay.Soul Calibur 5 is a definite buy for those die hard fans..if I had to read all the games in order I would say 2,5,3,1 and then 4...@$ far as like honest ratings and gameplay.

    If you're looking for an awesome Soul Calibur game, pick up the fourth one.

    Pros: Graphics are better, stuff is more flashy, character creation is much better, stages are a bit more interesting than the last game, and better online play. Cons: The new characters aren't as interesting as the old ones that they replaced, single player has been reduced to: arcade, harder arcade, story, training, and quick battle, the story mode isn't as long or as fun as the previous games were, it also does a pretty bad job with characterization, overall, the story just isn't as good as any of the older Soul Calibur games. I wouldn't pay over $25 for this game unless you plan to play online a lot or have a bunch of people to play it with. I do think the game is a good fighting game, just not a good Soul Calibur game.

    Great product, came in excellent condition. Good seller.

    Great game for a 3d fighter. Interesting mix in with 2d fighter controls. Has been a consistently fun and well made series, and this game continues that. Finally a well made character creation system can lead to a whole lot more fun. Great product.

    Great condition

    I hadn't played this game in years. I believe, this is the best two play game out. They better make it for PS4.
